DAMN. This tea right here! I’m a coffee person, but seriously?! The taste of comfort šŸŽÆšŸ‘ŒšŸ¾ā˜•ļø Had to even get some tea to takeaway lol. The Chaiiwala franchise was started in Leicester by 2 brothers in 2015, however this story goes way back further... 1927, on the streets of Delhi. ChaiiwalašŸ“ Walthstow Food rating: 4.5 Service: 5 Venue: Cozy/ small Recommend: Karak Chai! Avg price for two: Ā£15 Overall: 4.8 out of 5āļø Halal: All Other: Allergy Card What we ordered: •Karak tea Ā£1.85 •Falooda Ā£3.25 •Iced karak coffee Ā£2.50 •Bombay sandwich Ā£2.50 •Masala chips/ Imili Ā£2 each •Kebab roll (Chicken) Ā£3 •Burl puri Ā£3 •Gulab jamun cheesecake Ā£3 The imili chips (tamarin) were yummy - love the sauce! The kebab roll, paratha was sooo soft + the yogurt chutney was amazing! Get this! The Bombay sandwich (toastie) was very nice! I didn’t even want to share! Again good chutney sauce šŸ˜ Lets talk about the tea now! This was soooo fresh and creamy! Indian style tea with so much lovely flavour and spice! Nothing strong, just comforting! Highly recommended! Great value for money! Service was on point! Thank you Fiza for the dope hospitality @chaiiwala she deserves a raise! Ps, they now have Gulab Jamun cheesecake on the menu!

4 stars - Pink chai and karak chai are very tasty and comforting. I tend to go here for the drinks as I’m always satisfied with the consistency in their taste. The kebab roll is basic, kebab wrapped in Shana parantha if you’ve ever tried those. Better off getting it from your local kebab shop, tastier and cheaper. However, I really enjoy their desi breakfast, which I would recommend. The halwa puri is yummy too! I enjoy spending time here socialising with friends and appreciate their customer service. Update: chocolate chai mousse tastes like heaven, it is basically ganache. Don’t have the chai taste but I love it just as it is. Makes me drool just thinking of it. The kunafa cheesecake was basic, was expecting more excitement in my mouth. No toilet which is inconvenient, but they allow you to wash your hands. 3 stars - Had to minus a star as I asked for loaded doughnuts but also to add sugar and for some reason they can’t add this as an extra or just sprinkle some on. It’s either sugared doughnuts or loaded doughnuts (with just chocolate). Can’t have both. Clearly for some reason they can’t accept this request, which is quite ridiculous. Like a little sugar is going to hurt anyone’s pocket.

Worst branch I have ever eaten. I'm a really big fan of Chaiiwala overall and I don't know about others but I really enjoy the atmosphere and food. But not this location. Definitely not. Im a regular of Chaiiwala Wood Green and Dalston and when I ordered from uber this was the closest one to my location yesterday. Wost mistake ever. 1h 40min later and food was still not ready. After 2h (I have proof) order was delivered cold, oily, and with missing items and cutlery. Masala chips? Cold chips with ketchup (see photo), kebab? Some sort of soggy dough with a piece of meat (nothing else, sauce or veggies). I would be ashamed to send this food to a paying customer. I payed £3 for service charge. For what exactly? For 2h waiting time, missing food and cutlery when I specifically asked for a wooden fork and some tissues. Extremely disappointed and disgusted by this location. I would be delighted to share the order number and delivery details if contacted in the future. The worst part is that this experience puts me off into going back to any Chaiiwala as I think being a franchise should have trained all staff the same or maybe the quality went downhill.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chaiwala Walthamstow, and I must say, it was a delightful experience that left me craving more. Nestled in the heart of Walthamstow, this restaurant offers a unique and authentic taste of Indian cuisine that is sure to satisfy any food lover.

As soon as I entered Chaiwala Walthamstow, I was greeted with warm smiles from the friendly and attentive staff. Ankur, in particular, stood out with their exceptional service. They were knowledgeable about the menu, providing helpful suggestions and answering any questions I had. Their passion for the food and dedication to ensuring a memorable dining experience was evident throughout the evening.

Now, let's talk about the food. Chaiwala Walthamstow offers a diverse range of Indian dishes that are bursting with flavors. I started with the samosas, which were perfectly crisp on the outside and filled with a savory potato and pea mixture. The accompanying mint chutney added a refreshing kick that elevated the flavors even further.

To end the meal on a sweet note, I indulged in the mango lassi, a traditional Indian drink made with yogurt and fresh mangoes. It was creamy, refreshing, and the perfect way to cool down after the flavorful meal.

Overall, Chaiwala Walthamstow impressed me both with its authentic flavors and exceptional service. Ankur, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure that every diner had a memorable experience. If you're in the mood for delicious Indian cuisine served with a smile, I highly recommend visiting Chaiwala Walthamstow. Special shout-out for Ankur for an...

I NEVER give google reviews as I have much better things to do, but yesterday’s interaction with the franchise owner - Rianna Hayat has prompted me to leave one.

First of all, go visit the independent stores further down the road, who will value your business.

Long story short, I ordered over Ā£40 worth of food from a delivery app - I had two missing items. Instead of giving the restaurant a bad review and affecting their rating, I called up and was told if I came in store or rang up before ordering again I’d receive my items. Which is a pretty standard thing to do if something goes wrong in a high street store.

I was shocked, after providing proof to the cashier and then speaking to the franchise owner on the phone. She refused to offer a reimbursement at all, which is beyond me as I’m a loyal customer to this branch. It seems a few items totalling Ā£8 were were more to her than my repeat business. It is apparent somebody needs to take lessons in the psychology of running a business + providing good customer service.

I guess the mass expansion of franchises has created a vacuum in which those who have no clue on how to run a business can solely rely on branding to get them clients.

Won’t be...
