Spice Box — Restaurant in London

At the top end is could say mediocre food, but really probably not even that.

Mixed grill for 2 - everything over cooked and tough. Had to battle with the lamb to get it down my throat.

Grilled chicken burger - this is the only reason a star was given. A decent but slightly dry burger.

Phangush Korai - well over cooked. The fish was literally mush in a box. Bland is an over statement. It literally tasted of ... nothing!

Lamb curry - It was swimming in a centimetre of oil. No real flavour and again lamb was so over cooked that it was like chewing rubber.

Chicken Momo - literally oil/butter soaked chicken wrapped in some kind of tortilla. Falling apart in your hand.

Naan - these were okay and just normal naan as you would expect.

Salad - nice and fresh. Reasonable, though a huge amount of iceberg lettuce compared to cucumber or tomatoes.

Would I order again from here. Basically...No. If I want decent food I’ll be going back to my local Kebabish. In an area where excellent food can be found almost anywhere this place really needs to...

They recently put the price of their hot wings to £6.50!! 6 wings. Even KFC do 10 wings meal for £7.50, I think this is an over-confident move made by management they will lead to this business going bankrupt (or they will drop the price and the manager should accept he was a fool for making that decision).

I used to eat at this place before I stopped one year ago after they served me raw hot wings, I went back after someone brought me some of their food and their chilli sauce was nice and ordered donner (no wings due to the price) and the donner had a raw smell!! My wife and kids all said the same and so I took the trouble to go back and get a refund. I won’t be going back again, that’s 2 times in a row I’ve had a bad experience. I’ll mention the hot wings price again, that’s a joke, and idiotic decision, I’ve never had hot wings anywhere before...

Food was delivered to another house. Had to wait nearly 2 hours before I could actually receive my food. Called the restaurant a total of 6 times. Every time I called & asked for my food. The restaurant hung up the phone on me. I asked for the manager and I was informed that he was out doing deliveries. The restaurant did not care that they gave my food elsewhere. Even when I called three times to make sure that it was going to the right address. I eventually had to call JustEat to complain. When the food arrived an hour and a half later than original delivery time, the order was wrong. At that point I had no energy to put up a fight. Just ate the food and left it at that. Would surely not be ordering from this restaurant again. Terrible...
