A fantastic & well-maintained large urban park in the midst of busy towns Barking and Ilford and adjacent to magnificent Barking Park! Even though both Barking Park and Loxford Park very close to each other, they are managed by two different local authorities - Barking & Dagenham and Redbridge respectively! The Loxford Park features an excellent Beach Sports, Children’s Play Area, Cricket Pitches, Football Pitches, Basketball Court 🏀 & Multi Use Games Area, Outdoor Gym, Table Tennis Facilities, Public Toilets, Skate Park, Tennis Courts, Trim Trail, Green for Wildlife, Edible Trees! One of the most amazing & unique features of Loxford Park is Beach Sports - a sandy beach in the middle of an urban green park!? What a marvellous addition! There are beach volleyball and football courts in the Loxford Sandy Beach! Can't travel to beach in the summer - just come here - literally, you will be transported into sandy beaches 🏖 - a feel-good beach moment complete with golden sands! The beach courts are available for hire by anyone on a casual basis and to clubs or organisations for regular sessions or events. Another key feature of this park is the Public Toilets by the Loxford Lane. Generally speaking, public toilets in the parks are either closed for good or removed altogether! The park has well connected web of concrete pathways suitable for any weather for both cyclist and pedestrians! The Loxford Park is flanked by roads and residential areas in all three sides with access while the fourth is restricted by the school boundary wall. The park is used by the locals for exercising, jogging, resting, relaxing, running, playing, enjoying the green! Plenty of mature trees, bushes, flower beds & reeds provide plenty of shades under the sun for visitors to have a picnic or sit down! One of the key usage of the Park is the shortcut/through walking path between Loxford Lane and Eton Road and other residential areas/streets A well-equipped square-shaped Trim Trail is literally welcoming you to have a go at various equipments throughout the trail. The Park has a fantastic play area featuring a fenced play areas for younger children and huge tunnel, mounds to run up and down, boulders and planting and a nest swing that can be enjoyed together by children of all ages and abilities. Having said that, lack of accessible play equipments is hugely noticeable! We really need to increase accessible play equipments in order to allow anyone, truly anyone, explore the open space and learn through playing - it could be a much needed respite for parents/carers/Guardians! Large Circular Skate Park is another unique attractions with 4 entrances with steps and surrounded by bushes, mature trees and flower beds - kind of hidden treasure behind wall of greens. It is one level lower than the ground. It doesn't seem to be used that much for Skating even though the edges, ramps, rails are of good quality! Remarkably, the small circular circuit becomes a very popular circuit for the elders - a very quite, safe and blissful walking/jogging route with benches for resting, and with natural music 🎶 - tweets, chirping of birds, rustling leaves...... Overall, a pleasant park with characters!

Nice and Green park. Play & Exercise are is not really well maintained by council. Kids play area need attention as swings almost all are broken or not well balanced. Need more tables for public and their must be mud track along whole park for long walk or running. Rest this is nice place and I am visiting this place from last 10 years and every year seagulls come in this park to stay from November till end February. Always happy to feed and visit them on weekends.

Great little park for the local residents. However, the facilities needs urgent attention especially the inner walking paths has too many potholes. Some of the facilities require urgent attention to avoid serious accidents. You will find empty bottles and rubbish on display inside the park. Redbridge Council must address this as a matter of urgency & upgrade this and put some flowers/plants which are no where to be seen inside the park.

This park suffers from the mixed crowd that come here with anti social behavior present on most visits. It's a shame because the facilities are quite good. There are a number of outdoor gym facilities and the kids playground has just been redone. A tennis court is free and a basketball court is available as is an all weather cricket pitch. Behind a fence which unfortunately is rarely opened is a beach volleyball Court using sand from the London Olympics. A skatepark is in the old rose garden. It sounds great but the anti social behaviour means you should be...
