Spice Shack — Restaurant in London

I’m not one to leave bad reviews for places but I was thoroughly disappointed on my last trip to what is normally a great place to eat in. Ordered a shack lamb burger. It came burnt on both sides on what was clear was a badly grilled burger and tasted so as well. I asked one of the staff to have a look to which his reply after hesitation was “it’s like that....well done”. I know when a burger is well done and when it’s burnt and felt offended that my opinion was disregarded just like that. I ordered chicken tikka masala with special requirements of no salt and less oil due to health reasons. It came the complete opposite. The container was full of oil, with atleast 5mm of oil on top. After pouring out the oil, it was still very oily and salty - not edible. I called the restaurant to complain; his advice was to mix the oil into the curry. He was rude and did not help. I come here every day for lunch (it’s hard to resist not coming) while coming for lunch I get the peri chicken burger meal which cost around £10!

Good portion size and good burger size

The staff are VERY friendly makes you feel as though you are at home.

The average price for a meal is £10ish.

What’s good about this shop is that they have a hand washing system in place because it can get quite messy! 😅
