Nice local cafe but my liver was precooked and therefore hard. Mash was watery, onions were fried well. Bacon was very thin. And a wasp landed in my tea (not the cafes fault I know, but I didn't fancy asking for another). Having said that the greek salad enjoyed by other diners looked very nice, and the cheese toasties looked good....so maybe I ordered wrong at this popular cafe. Service was excellent!

I am a frequent visitor to Star Cafe and have recommended this venue to anyone who stands still long enough to listen to me. Usually pop in for lunch, although Breakfast is sometimes called for and I've been there in the evening for the occasional Diner. The food is excellent, well prepared and presented and of course Delicious. The Staff are lovely and always helpful and friendly. If you haven't tried Star Cafe yet, then drop in some day soon and enjoy a great meal in a busy but...

The eggs are cooked perfectly. The bread is toasted to perfection and buttered evenly. The bacon has a beautiful and crispy texture. The flavour of the beans were amazing and the temperature of the beans were perfect for eating when served. There are a million more good things I could say about this place but it would just be too long. Also, props to the staff for being very welcoming and just...
