Have come here a few times since they opened. Have always had an OK time - it's a good space with a solid selection at slightly expensive prices for this kind of craft beer bar. Last time I went though, the beer tasted off (Kernel pale - which I've had in plenty of other places/from the brewery and doesn't taste like how it did). When I told the bar staff they tried it they said it was fine. I suspect the lines hadn't been cleaned properly which is a shame for a pub like this which should be serving their beer properly; having staff assume that the beer is fine because that's how it tastes here is frustrating. Despite only having a couple of beers each, all four of us that were there felt terrible the next day so I do suspect that something was wrong with the lines. As the only specialist beer bar in the area it's a shame that they don't take more care around how they...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place! Beer lovers you will be in for a treat! There must be close to 20 craft beers on tap. Some well know ones, such as the Kernel, and Brooklyn Lager and then some less known ones from small UK brewers. In the fridges you have an ever bigger selection which includes some German lagers and some specialist Belgian beers. The staff has always been friendly on my visits and are happy to let you to try before you buy! If you canât make up your mind they do a beer bat .where you choose three 1/3rd of a pint of each, However, if you don't want to drink beer, well then you're probably best off going somewhere else. We opted for 2 beer paddles on our visit and spent a lovely...
Read moreIt's a beautiful, cozy, modern pub that suits every season. The beers are nice but very crafty, so don't expect many options if you prefer something on the milder side. The best thing about this place for me (and many other locals i'm sure) is that you can bring in food from the local restaurants and eat it in there with a pint. There is something really pleasant about enjoying a freshly made falafel wrap or pizza with a cold beer sitting at one of these nice tables, or out on the street if it's a nice day. Not many outdoor seats, but where it is situated there is a nice little curb to sit on and it is nicer than it sounds. Right beside the local leisure centre, it feels core to the...
