I have been coming here for 4+ years and it is one of my favourite spots in all of London. It does not have the nicest interior but that is not what the place is going for. It is an excellent place to go with a group of friends or a long time partner. It is relaxed, cheap and the staff are really friendly. A+

I will start of by saying that Van Hing does both Chinese food and Vietnamese food, but as it is a Vietnamese run establishment I have only ever really ordered from the Vietnamese side of the Menu. I would highly recommend doing this because all of the Vietnamese fare is fantastic. The Pho is one of (if not #1) the best I have had in London, and I have eaten it in a large variety of different places both cheap and expensive. The noodles appear to be handmade as they are all shapes and sizes (not identically machine cut). The cuts of meat are not the best you will ever eat but they are good enough and for £6.50 you cannot go wrong. The broth is usually deep and rich tasting and the portions are substantial.

I could not recommend Van...

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants with very affordable prices.

I was truly amazed by the taste of the pho soup when I first came. It was sophisticated with different herbal aromas but humbly, not too strong, providing a harmonised aroma backdrop for the delightfully sweet and savoury soup. I have been thinking about replicating that soup after I went back home.

I came back again today to retry the pho. However, this time, the taste of the soup is rather plain, and the turmeric is a bit too strong that stands out. It got me thinking the cooking is to some degree inconsistent, and that's a shame.

However, even for a normal Vietnamese restaurant, factoring in the low price tag and large and generous portions, the value itself still earns it a 5. The caramelised pork is also one of the best I have had in...

The food here is incredible! This family owned restaurant has the best Vietnamese cuisine I have ever had. In Canada we have a lot of restaurants that have similar taste to their food but this one really stood out. Their wonton soup is amazing. Just over £2 and worth every cent (or pence!) Also tried the meat spring rolls and chicken vermicelli. It's a very busy little restaurant but they do make a list and will even call to let you know your table is ready. It is a bit of a whirlwind with the waitstaff but it's all a part of the atmosphere which is fantastic. They do take away as well if you don't want to stay but I do recommend to! Thanks for the...

I had a lovely meal here we weren't sure where to eat and we chose this on a whim and was really happy with our selection The food was really nice, I had the mixed meat noodles, with lemon chicken and Szechuan chicken everything was perfectly cooked, the lemon chicken in particular was fantastic The drinks were really cheap too which is always a pleasant surprise. Service was warm and friendly. We will be back! It is cash only there is a sign but we missed it, there is a cashpoint to the left out of the door a minute down the road by the bustop so no drama

Really cozy family atmosphere! Vietnamese dishes are the highlight!! The Bánh cuốn are my favourite and the beef stew tender and lovely with spices, loved the cinnamon notes. Also the bún platters on the other tables looked amazing! The phos also looked like they were worth another visit. Vietnamese dishes not greasy at all, fresh, vibrant, carefully put together. Also the staff were really lovely, not obsequious but casual and warm, guiding suggestions through the extensive menu. Will absolutely return, and would definitely recommend ☺️
