It looked like a promising and vibrant easy going place where you just go and have something quick. I was in a good mood so I won’t give two stars but my friend advised it. I looked at the situation as a new place, just open. It can be hard to organise and run the business smooth when you have a lot of new colleague. I ordered a flat white coffee ☕️ brownie, with vanilla ice cream. My friend ordered eggs royal and green tea. I was informer about the brownie: (They had to check if they have just in case, and not sure if they had vanilla ice cream). I said ok check it out, thanks. After a while tap water arrived with a tea for my friend. BUT my coffee was missed. I didn’t say anything, they looked busy and I thought probably know what they were doing. Then eggs royal came. My coffee was nowhere. So I asked. They said it’s on the way. The food was already on the table without cutlery. Hmmmm... My coffee finally arrived. It was pretty good. high five for the barista. 😎 Short minutes later the brownie came without any explanation or warning ⚠️ I’ve got the brownie with strawberry 🍓 ice cream. (I ordered vanilla) and they didn’t ask me what alternatives I could choose from. The waiters look untrained, and not confident about their work. They don’t have sections (we had two people serving us). Confusing. It’s hard I have no doubt. A bit more organisation, focus on the orders, timing, knowing how to hold the tray (because it really looks struggling the way they carry drinks). Cafe Jack’s has a potential to improve and provide better customer experience. I wish you the best.

Jack’s has become the family birthday spot for us—brunch here is basically tradition at this point. Even though I’d rate the food, service and atmosphere a solid 4, I’m giving it a 5 overall because it just means that much to us. It’s nostalgic, reliable, and honestly… brunch at Jack’s never misses. The food’s always tasty, even if the prices are a bit much—but hey, it’s Queen’s Park. You’ve got to expect a bit of that. Still, we keep coming back and have even got friends hooked on it too! Top recs: the French toast with bacon and eggs, the avocado toast with feta, and the mocha (we live for the little Lotus biscuit on the side!). Service can sometimes dip when it’s really busy, and the space can feel a bit cramped or chilly depending on where you sit—but the staff are always lovely and do their best to keep things moving. Jack’s, we love ya. See you at the next birthday 🫶

Cute, inviting cafe/restaurant in the heart of Brondesbury Park. For drinks, we started off with an iced coffee which was delicious, and freshly pressed orange juice which was also nice but needed ice. The eggs royale were served without avocado which I had to add as an extra. Overall it was very nice and my only complaint would be that the texture of the hollandaise was inconsistent. A slice of lemon would have been nice too but that is a personal preference. The English breakfast (single) was decent but nothing special. The mushroom did not look edible but apparently they’re supposed to look like that. The tomatoes were served raw but are usually supposed to be roasted. The turkey bacon was good, as were the eggs. Overall, I had a pleasant experience but it was quite pricey.

Had the worst food & experience at cafe Jack's today. We ordered the special & a salad - the waitress checked to make sure the special was available & then took our order. After a 45 minute wait, seeing people who'd come in after us get served & then leave, we called the waitress over. She apologised & offered us a free juice. After another 20 mins our meals arrived but my friend was given some sloppy curry that she'd not ordered. She approached the owner & politely explained that we'd waited over an hour only for her to be served the wrong food. He actually tried to gaslight her & insisted that she'd ordered it. Only when the waitress intervened saying they had actually served her the wrong order did he stop arguing. He then turned on the waitress blaming her for the mistake when he is the one checking orders & sending food out. After another 15 minutes my friends food arrived. For a main course it was miniscule. My simple salad was a joke - burnt 'brushetta' burnt goats cheese, 4 cubes of bruised tomatoes & the most acidic dressing I ever had - it tasted like cheap mustard mixed with vinegar I didn't bother putting it on the wilted salad & asked for oil & vinegar instead. If I hadn't just come from the gym starving I wouldn't have eaten it. As we queued up to Pay the owner Jack snapped at my friend "What - you're not happy" I told him his attitude needed work & he screamed at us to get out. Needless to say we refused to pay after his outburst. As if that wasn't bad enough whilst there we had to point out to the waitress that a dog friendly environment doesn't usually mean dogs sitting on the actual tables. Absolutely awful food & service. We said we'd be leaving a review & the owner said "I don't read reviews or care about customer feedback. That is...

Been to Jack's several times prior to todays visit, left satisfied. However, went in there for breakfast today and was left disappointed, asked whether we could sit in the rear of the cafe, as the front was reasonably busy and there was one small table right next to the open kitchen and the main walkway through the cafe which didn't appeal. Was told this was fine by a member of staff, however as we walked down, another member of staff loudly said, 'excuse me, excuse me, you cannot sit in the rear, there is a table here', in what i found to be a slightly aggressive manner. Ok, fine, we will sit on the small table, no problem if they had said this initially, but the manner in which the member of staff dealt with the situation could have been better. - Additionally when another couple came in, and went and sat in the rear of the cafe no problem was found, and they were not barked at by a member of staff. Ordered our food, my friend asked for the tomato to be changed to mushrooms, and when the food arrived this message had not been relayed and so was given a tomato, the member of staff did not apologise, simply looked at him blankly, nodded and took the plate away and returned with the right order. The food was fine, however the service left a bad taste in the mouth, after previously been happy with the cafe it's disappointing. Admittedly, this is a personal preference, but the music playing in the cafe was obtrusively loud, which didn't help when you where trying to have a conversation. Won't be visiting again, and disproportionately expensive for what...
