🌮 I lost my phone and found the best tacos of my life. No joke. 🌮
So picture this: I’m chilling in a graveyard with a mate (as you do), having a quiet drink for my cousin who passed away—RIP cuz, we miss you. Vibes were deep, weather was hot, and all was peaceful… Until I realised my phone had vanished.
Panic mode. I’m flipping jacket pockets, checking the grass, retracing steps like Sherlock Holmes with anxiety. I get my mate to call it, and boom—someone answers. A woman. She says, “Yeah, I’ve got your phone, I work in a taco shop just off Lily Road.”
Now, I’m thinking: this could go two ways—either she’s a scammer or an angel. Luckily, she was the angel kind.
So we head over, and there she is—smiling, holding my phone like it’s a baby bird. I thank her (properly), and then say, “You know what? I walk past this place all the time and always say I’ll stop in. Maybe this was meant to be.”
And my god, it was.
I bought two tacos for me, two for my mate. Took one bite and paused like I was having a spiritual awakening. These tacos were insane. Like, if I’d lost my phone on purpose just to find these tacos, I’d call that a good life decision.
I went back and ordered FOUR more to take home. My mate did the same. We looked at each other like, “Is this what happiness tastes like?”
Anyway, I told them I’m bringing every single person I know back here. Birthdays? Taco shop. Breakups? Taco shop. Lost your keys? Maybe they’re in the taco shop. Honestly, this place restored my faith in humanity and fed me like royalty.
If you’re reading this and still thinking about it, go. Go now. Run, walk, teleport. Thank me later.
💯 10/10. Would lose my phone again for...
Read moreReminded me why I swore not to have Mexican in London. This city does a lot of things brilliantly, Mexican cuisine really just isn't one of them.
Between my friend & I, we had a chili beef naked burrito, a beef birria enchilada, 2 tacos each of chicken tinga & pork pastor. 11ish am on a Tuesday, the pastor was dry, tough and not very tasty. The chicken tinga was juicy but not very tasty.
I appreciated the freshness of the chili beef, grilled with a generous amount of onion, green & red bell pepper. Flavor-wise it was good, I just wished there was more beef so I could taste it more. Together with the rice, the side salad & the beans (a bit salty) it was a solid ok.
The enchiladas looked proper cheesy on the outside. The beef was tasty & not dry. Serving size was outstanding for the price, but again, wish there were more filling.
The guac that came with the tacos (now wonder if we could have asked for some for the burritos) was a bit thin. Chili sauce wasn't very spicy. I actually wonder if they held back in spice for us, but really, there was no heat in that whole meal.
With the outdoor seating, it's admittedly a nice spot. May go back for the churros & horchata. Don't travel for it, but ok enough for people...

I visited in person as i live nearby, and it has a traditional street vendor style of operating with cooks in the kitchen prepping, a friendly waitress to take you order at the front. There are benches outside if you want to “eat in”. However i took my food home as it was raining ☔️
Staff are super friendly, chatty, and they make the food quickly while you wait. Good vibes.
I ordered the 3 taco box, mixed one of each, chicken, beef and pork. Box comes with plain rice, refried beans and the 3 tacos. 🌮 🌮 🌮 😍At first i was slightly disappointed in portion size for the price (£14), but i was plenty full and I really enjoyed the meal. Meat was well seasoned and garnished with toppings, onions and they gave me 3 types of salsa sauce. Nice.
I also ordered a corona beer but was shocked at the price. £4.50 is a little steep! But hey it’s fulham, so i shouldn’t be so harsh. Rent ain’t cheap here.
I will definitely return for their great food and service, but not for the drinks! Better to visit the co-op...
