I don’t like to talk ill of a place where the dead are buried but in this occasion I must.
This is no place for quiet contemplation as the council or the friends of the cemetery would have you think! It is full of bozos! People playing games and having massive gatherings, it is right by a major overpass which is very noisy, is in a flight path and it’s condition is poor! Normally an overgrown cemetery is a thing of beauty, but here it feels cheap and dirty! People hiding in the bushes and other shady characters.
Just look at the image of the sign someone attempted to put up!! If you can’t put a sign straight with cable ties then what can you do! The place feels poor, neglected, broken and sullen!
I feel woe and despair being in here and my mood utterly crestfallen!
One or two graves are very pretty in the way nature has claimed them but that’s it.
The extremely oppressive architecture that surrounds the outside of the place fills it with a strong sense of doom.
H&F council being as incompetent as they are have just slapped that title on the place for some reason.
I am sure in its prime it was gorgeous and not filled with louts but today it is nothing more than a common unkept green space.
The absolute Shame!
If it were to be just a green space then that would be fine for people playing games etc, but as it is classed as a cemetery then it seems very uncouth to have such big events though...

The opening and closing times are incorrect because as a matter of fact, I take a walk through this on weekdays...

Lyons used to have its main offices at Hammersmith. It later became Grand Metropolitan and then Diageo which continues to be an employer...
