Worst bakery ever! Come here if you want to insulted, not cared for and ignored. I had a health emergency and needed to get some carbohydrates urgently. I tried to buy two youtiou but despite being on the edge of a fainting episode, letting them know I could not eat too many sweet things so I only need those two and supporting myself on the counter to stay upright they refused to be sympathetic and forced me to spend £8 just to be able to use my card. This is while I was letting them know that I was on the verge of consciousness and really needed to eat something immediately. Rude disgusting behaviour by the staff who just stared blankly at me, even when I started swaying, and still took over 10 minutes before they gave me the goods, despite me impressing on them how urgent the situation was. In the end I had to buy soy milk too or they wouldn't let me buy the donuts on my card, and the milk was cold. The donuts were also too salty and tasted stale. Despite supposing to be fresh, they were also cold and hard. All this to say, how you treat people is how you will be treated. They also tried to erroneously charge me 20% VAT for "eat in" even though I was taking out. All of this while they were just staring at me while i was swaying because of low blood sugar. I have never had such poor customer service from a company, especially one that purports to remain in business long term. If I could give them a 0 I would. One thing for sure is avoid, avoid, avoid. I certainly will not be returning and they have lost my custom for good. There are too many Chinese bakeries with beautiful pastries and proffessional attendants to suffer through this one. If anyone else has bad experiences, seriously, initiate...

Weirdly the weekend bakers aren't as good. You can get yesterday's buns at a cheap price as well, they will bag them and sell them the next day.
Don't expect English customer service i.e. fake smiles all the time. The ladies in here are not English - they will treat you the way an East Asian mum would! That is, ask what you want, take the money, end transaction. It's not unfriendly but it's not like they're trying to be besties either.
I think they prefer mask wearing right now but not sure it's compulsory for service. The time people here are moaning about bein told to leave was during the pandemic and there was a huge sign on the door saying "two people at a time" so... Maybe...
Read moreVery disappointed with this shop. We came in and got a pandan roll and we looked inside and saw a hair. We could instantly tell it wasnt ours because our hair was all up while one of the employees had their hair down. We instantly returned it and they gave us another one. We left and saw another hair inside and just threw the cake out. A waste if our money. We also saw them put that same cake back into the display where they get cakes from. We also got a chocolate mousse cake and we ate it but it was very hard, didnt taste fresh and was very doughy. We read other reviews and they were talking about black spots being mold and we also had black spots on our chocolate mousse and came to realise it was mold. They also didnt have gloves on so we didnt feel very safe eating it. First time trying this and VERY disappointed. Do not recommend no...
