Fantastic wedding reception location!! We hosted our wedding reception at The Bedford, staying there the night before and night of, which was a fantastic addition for us and the bridal party!
We were set up in the saloon bar the night before for welcome drinks/dinner which was a fantastic touch – if was great to have a private space to catch up with everyone as they arrived into London! The bar staff were absolutely brilliant and very accommodating (as they were throughout the remainder of the weekend!).
After a hectic morning before jumping in a cab to our wedding ceremony, I was a little worried that it had set the tone for the rest of the day but I really hadn’t of worried as Becky, our inhouse event coordinator, and team, absolutely smashed it out of the park! I felt at ease as soon we stepped back into The Bedford knowing that our wedding was in safe and professional hands.
The wedding breakfast set up was absolutely incredible! Being a DIY bride with control freak tendencies, I was nervous to hand over the reins but WOW!! We were truly blown away when we entered the room, The Bedford did a spectacular job and really brought our vision to life!
We always knew that The Bedford was the right venue for us but nothing had prepared us for how much we would love it! The set up (and tidy up), the organising of suppliers, the food!! Everything was spot on and we couldn’t have asked for more!! The day ran like clockwork which meant we could be present with our guests, let our hair down and really enjoy the day. We were told to remember that we were not the hosts of the wedding but instead the guests of honour and that’s exactly how we felt all day thanks to The Bedford teams hard work!!
Becky was our wedding coordinator extraordinaire and we couldn’t have done it without her and her brilliant team!! It really was the...
Read morethe inside is really pretty but the service was horrible for us that night. me and my friend are both above 18 but obviously got IDed. we showed our ID and everything was okay. I got my drink. my friend then came up to me asking if I could fome back with my ID and card. the bar lady then took my friend's ID and card and mine. we're both aupairs and my friend is from Sweden and used her Swedish driving licence. they didn't accept this as ID because they didn't believe it was real. they then later asked for her bank card and why it had a different name on her card. she explained that she has to use a bank account that is on her hostdad's name. the bar lady had to go talk to her manager. she then came back and told my friend rudely to not order any drinks tonight and if they saw her lrder anything she would be kicked out the pub. this made us feel very unwanted. they told us they had refunded my friend's drink and gave her some water. we were also asked to be seated close in sight of the bar. we sat down with my drink and my friend's water when the lady came up to us again saying I had to come to the bar. she then told me that they accidentally refunded my drink so I had to pay again. for some reason this time my frink costs me £0.10 more but I only realised afterwards. weird. my friend then had to come back to the bar as they refunded her drink this time. it's been 4 fays and I still haven't gotten my refund back. not sure if I'll come back to this pub because of the way we were treated. they literally acted like we were being rude and lying about our age while we were doing what they were telling us to do and showing our ID.

Read moreBit of a disappointing experience at the Bedford this week. QR Code ordering - ordered three rounds of drinks via the QR code. First order was fine. Second two lots did not arrive after half an hour each time. I went to the bar to ask about them and was just given the drinks there, no apology or explanation about why they hadn't come to the table. In hindsight I shouldn't have tried to order like that again, should have gone to the bar, but didn't think it would go wrong a second time! Even more irritating is that they add service charge when you order via QR code so I paid more to wait 30 mins and then have to go to the bar to chase anyway... Again, no apology and they didn't seem to care. Would not recommend! Food - mostly was fine, but ordered the lamb souvlaki and the flatbread which came with it was extremely hard and stale (lamb itself was fine) I spoke to a waitress about it who just said she'd pass it on, that was it. Quite expensive for something where the 'carb' element was not fit to eat. Bar staff - one member of staff was really rude at the bar when I ordered a drink in the first place, then there was a mix up with paying with another customer and she was rude to me and also the other bar staff helping. Felt very unprofessional and unwelcoming. Had been at the Bedford for an event taking place there (which was great!) but wouldn't be going...
