DEFINITELY ENQUIRE FOR PRIVATE HIRE!

I had a joint 90s/2000s-themed 30th party for me, my friend and 25th for another. Unfortunately, we had a last-minute cancellation so I was panicking.

Firstly, Ellie, was able to accommodate such a last-minute request for approx 70 people on Thursday, the party being that Sunday 30th. Very responsive and quick with communication. Even though not everyone showed up, we had no issue meeting the bar tab. We clearly were having a lot of fun.

We were given the outside garden area from 6:30-11, then were given a sectioned-off area in the main venue till 2 am (which was sweet as we hadn't even asked for this!)

We were able to decorate, bring our DJ/playlist and had a private bar. Security upon entry was amazing and Natasha who was working alone at our bar was very efficient, and kind and made everything run smoothly. Even though there were sooo many of us, thank you to Natasha first! A few strangers entered our section now and then (clearly our music and vibe were intriguing, but security was on it and made sure to let them know it was a private event)

Once we had to leave the garden (noise restrictions), Levi the manager came by to give us a warning to close off. We had time for another one or two songs and were not pressured or rushed off. People started to make their way to our dedicated area and he even offered to store my friends' decks and my gifts so we could carry on the party with no worries.

Even though it was quite busy indoors, I had no complaints from our group regarding waiting times etc. All the bar staff were great indoors, the music was just what we wanted. If we had any complaints about people coming into our section, it was sorted kindly (for all) and effectively.

One of the birthday girls also mentioned how great Ellie was at the bar, very attentive and dealing with the mass requests for shots (I had such a good night I don't even think I remember this, so didn't get a chance to thank her personally for saving 3 birthdays and our friendships :) )

It went so smoothly that I can't take all the credit for planning as I couldn't have done it without you guys! I know where to go for any other events now for sure. Most of my friends are from West London and loved the venue so much, I'm sure we will travel all the way back.

The deposit was returned the next day, as promised (even though it was a Bank holiday Monday).

I saw Levi again on Wednesday as we had left behind a power cord, a gifted bottle and disposable cameras. It was lovely to hear that Levi tried to run after me that night but missed me as I had gotten into a cab. Everything was still kept for us. Even after our event had ended and I came back Levi and the guy at the bar were still warm and welcoming.

Sorry for the little essay but it was such an amazing night, everyone had waaaay too much fun and hope you and your staff/security get your flowers!

Thank you...

Cool venue in South London, located near to Balham train station and the Northern Line. Described as a youth club for adults this definitely is a good description; the venue has a bar serving food from brunch at the weekends and lunch from 12 until the evening, they have a cinema, gallery and event space where they host comedy nights. There is plenty of seating inside and out and upstairs there is a balcony, unfortunately the weather was too inclement to test it out.

I went to try the brunch, I aimed for a lunch time slot so the lunch options would be available too. The staff were friendly and helpful, they could have been a bit more attentive and offered me a substitute for eggs but the food was well presented with plenty of flavour.

I opted for prosecco brunch, this was two large prawns with avocado on toast and chorizo minus the fried egg. To go alongside it I opted for more seafood as this is one of my favourite things; fried octopus which came with chorizo and cannellini beans. The prawns were huge and had plenty of flavour complemented by the chorizo and avocado. The octopus was tender and soft melting into my mouth.

My husband chose smoked salmon which came with scrambled egg in a bagel and sweet potato fries on the side. There was a good amount of salmon filling the bagel with a mix of scrambled egg and the fries were crunchy and soft. Another reason for me to come at lunch time was so I could enjoy a cocktail with my food, I find it much easier to drink this a little later on in the day. I chose the rosie and gin, which came in a tall tumbler glass a good red colour decorated with a piece of rosemary; it was fruity and sweet with a good herby taste of the rosemary.

They also offer bottomless processo for £20 and do an evening deal of a main with unlimited wine on weekday evenings and dinner with a film. I'm sure I'll be back for some more even if it is the other side of...

This review won't receive acknowledgment because it wasn't written by a staff member but here we go -

Extremely disappointed with how the exhibit treated myself and a group of friends who were here for bottomless brunch. Visiting the exhibit as a friend had hired out the top bar for his birthday bottomless brunch for 50 people. All food was pre-ordered to provide ease for the staff on the day but when we arrived there was 1 bar tender to serve 50 people bottomless drinks. Although he done his best this proved frustrating and when the host politely asked staff on multiple occasions if there was anyone else who could help out he was met with attitude as if the brunch hadn't originally been booked for a large group. Weird as the customer service beforehand had been great but it seemed the second the group, mixed but predominantly non-white turned up the tone of the event staff changed. The organisation and timing of the food was completely unacceptable for a brunch and ruined the vibe considering some people's dishes were only arriving once others had finished. Conveniently around 45 minutes before the brunch was due to end a fire alarm sounded across the building and the brunch party were ushered out. Ushered past diners sitting on the lower floors who were told to stay seated? We were herded on to the street outside until the alarm stopped and although there was still 30 minutes left of the room hire which had been paid in full we were denied access back upstairs and told everyone was too intoxicated... from a bottomless brunch where we were getting drinks every 20 mins due to lack of staff.

Conveniently since the group who attended the birthday have written very honest reviews about the venue these have then been met by 5* reviews conveniently written 30 minutes later.

Such a shame as the venue had good potential for hire but don't bother if you're a fun non...

I had a great time at exhibit. Upstairs was warm and cosy. I went for the full English breakfast and to be honest I thought it was going to be a small plate but It a good size. The chicken and chorizo dumplings I didn't feel were dumplings but they were tasty and had a really good texture. The sausages were flavourful and well seasoned! The butter was a little too cold to slide over my toast but I liked that it came in its own separate bowl. I asked for well done eggs and that's exactly what I got and was happy to see black pepper on the egg BEFORE I had to add it myself! The beans came in a separate bowl and I also liked that but I would like more beans next time because they were really tasty with a drop of the hot honey! For drinks I opted for the Tequila punch which is strong and refreshing. I also had a Lychee martini which is one of my favourites and it was sweet without being overly sweet! I tried the passion fruit martini which wasn't my favourite but was still tasty and pretty drink. Our waiter Luay was just the energy we needed that day. He greeted us and gave us time to look over the menu and answer any questions we had for him. He was warm and vibrant, professional and personable. Great charisma and the service was fantastatic! I hope to come back to Exhibit and enjoy another Tequila Punch made by yours truly!! I really enjoyed my brunch experience. The service was smooth from the the greeting at the reception to the handover to the wait staff. The staff are attentive and positive which I enjoyed. It was also nice to see staff members interacting positively with each other but still remaining professional. I haven't been to exhibit for the last two years but from having such a positive experience I will be returning!

My husband and I booked the mezzanine space for our baby shower yesterday. Great space and with the lovely weather we were able to have balcony doors open and balcony in use. It is covered anyway but always good for it not to be raining! I believe it is Kaia (I hope I spelt that correctly!) that was our bar attendant for our event and she was extremely helpful! Asking if we needed anything and very helpful in getting us what we needed to do our baby shower games. We had around 45 people attend and the space was big enough! We had a private bar in the mezzanine which was great too! What really made us book here is that your food and drinks pre orders go towards your minimum spend! So there’s no separate venue hire fee which we found everywhere else had that we looked at! Great location, two minutes from Balham tube station. Two hours free parking at the sainsburys car park but our event was around 5 hours. Since it was a Sunday the surrounding roads had free parking. We were always checked in on throughout the event and food was ready to go when we asked for it and drinks ready on arrival. The only thing I would say would be better is if the mezzanine could have our own music. But to be honest this didn’t really affect the atmosphere as everyone was busy chatting! Would highly recommend! The online events team are very prompt with communication/ emails which is helpful too! So we didn’t actually have to go back and visit to check anything before our event! Thank you for being great hosts for our baby shower!! Just a disclaimer, the cakes in the photo were our own that we brought in. The canapés and hot pizzas from the exhibit went down a treat!
