The Bowl and Roll ~ POKE & KATSU — Restaurant in London

I'm quite sad that I have to write this as I come in regularly (1-2 a week) but today I witnessed some poor customer service and attitude. There were two girls working and when I walked in they both looked extremely bored. I was being served by one girl and then another customer walked in for his food and was served by the other girl who has a long dark ponytail. She was extremely passive and unfriendly to the gentlemen, who asked for broccoli on his bowl and was told 'we don't have any', no apology, just a blunt response instead. Both the gentlemen and I standing there could see that yes, there was little left, but there was enough to put on his bowl. Instead of apologising that there wasn't any left, she just rejected his request and ignored him when he asked for more. On my bowl, the girl couldn't peel the avocado so used a knife and cut about 2mm thickness of it, wasting about 60% of the quarter, but charging me the full price. I witnessed in shock about how I have never had an issue like this before yet I felt the girls couldn't have cared less about customer service and just wanted to get the job done. This does spoil the overall experience, even if I am having it to takeaway. At the end of the day, I am spending £9 on a bowl and I want the quality of the service and food to match the price, otherwise I would have gone to another local store for my lunch or prepared something myself. I know that this isn't the usual standard when myself or my boyfriend have been before and served by a really friendly guy but I now feel a bit let down about the lack of friendliness and care for the brand. I had the pleasure of ordering a poke bowl from this place, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel like a valued customer. The poke bowl itself was a dish that was not only delicious but also visually appealing. For an 11.50 lunch offer with a drink and edamame is something you can’t complain about at all in teddington.

What truly sets this place apart, however, is the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my order was perfect and that I had a great dining experience. Their warm smiles and willingness to accommodate my preferences made the meal even more enjoyable. I could even go onto saying this was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered. The manager I think she was, was so well- mannered, polite and as a whole just lovely

The amount of choice is fantastic, you can create wonderfully fresh delicious flavours.

I highly disagree with the review that said it's nothing you can't buy in sainsburys or M&S because the freshness is so important to poke - you can also personalise it to exactly what your personal taste is.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. We had a few questions about where the fish was sourced and how it worked and they answered us in a very helpful way.

The price is also not bad at all for the amount you get - a large poke bowl was about £7 which was full of fresh salmon and many toppings - we didn't get hungry again for hours!!

Lots of options to make your meal vegan, gluten free, lactose free or vegetarian if you want/need to.
