The Chessington Oak — Restaurant in London

We went on Father's Day to avail their Father's Day offer of free burger. While I was placing the order, out of all their burgers we only have the option of two burgers to choose from which was a huge disappointment. Then the bar staff charged me extra for incorrect order and I had to wait for over 15 minutes for the manager to come and refund the extra amount. No one informed how long would the order take to arrive, and assuming burgers usually take 10 to 15 minutes, we went ahead with the order. I placed the order at 6:58pm and the two burgers arrived past 8:30pm. The serving member of staff said the wait time is 1.5 hours, well if it was then it should have been mentioned in the beginning. There were other customers who were equally distressed. When the food arrive, it was the worse burger ever I have had in my life. I had a chicken tandoori burger which tasteless and the onion bhaji was burnt to the core. The other burger we ordered was classic beef burger and that too was burnt and hard to even eat. The food was inedible, with no flavours or taste. They had poor customer service too. It was our first and last visit due to pathetic service, food and experience. Amazing! After a long day out with family and friends we came here for dinner. The service was outstanding , we were a table of 10 on a Saturday evening with young children and the staff were incredible especially the woman who was serving us. Not only did she bring the children's meals out first, she got them all some colouring bits to do. My son has a peanut allergy and this is the first place we have been where we got to read all the ingredients first to make sure we were happy he would be safe and all his food/cutlery and preparation was done separately and cleaned down on its own so there was no risk of contamination. She whent above and beyond what we expected. The food was amazing and the value was incredible!

We live over 45 minutes away and are already planning on coming over again for a lunch as it was just such a lovely place.

I would highly recommend this for anyone, especially young family's as the staff and atmosphere for a pub on a Saturday evening was amazing.

To the woman who served us all, you were just so lovely and we can't wait to come back and see you soon, you really could see you loved your job and wanted the best for your customers.

I wouldnt even give this place a star!!!

After travelled all the way from the midlands to visit chessington adventure we visited this place first of all We asked for mixed grill -no steaks due to hot weather 2 weeks ago so they had no freezer staff stated freezer had broken We ordered alternative food instead As we was hungry we didnt wanna drive around any more looking for food so we stayed Ordered all our food a few chicken bits for starters which came out more or less black down to the bone the chicken look like it had been reheated and hard we even offered a dog which was inside abit even the dog turned his nose up We sent the chicken back after complaining even the poor staff even said they didnt look right and felt ashamed to even drop that on someones table I will say they did go get some more which came out better but still not the best ! So we waited nearly a hour for our food to come out praying its delicious then the food came out and all honestly it wasnt the best very disappointed !! It was the worse meal I've ever had and I'm a man that loves his food and would eat anything !!!

Sack the chef and get a new freezer and remove dogs where people eat that's my...
