The Cookie — Restaurant in London

This is my second visit in a year equally disappointed as last year. There is only 3 tables to sit down. 1 table which appeared to be free staff member left her jacket and handbag while she was preparing her own food. I waited and ask is this table free...and carried on waiting until staff decided to move her stuff only because she was told by the owner that I am still waiting. While she was moving her belongs she made quite comment to get boss and both had laugh. Finding it rude and not sure if they know how to run business. Nothing changed since last year visit when one of the mother's with child let her child screening and shouting and the owner entertains this behaviour...ecdn now while I am eating the owner carry on loud conversation with the girl who is eating around the table as a paying guest...if you want quiet lunch reading papers and try to relax please...

I love this place, I stop here occasionally before catching the train. The service is always friendly. They make the coffee with love and care. My favorite is a Cappuccino or black iced americano, if I can add an extra * for them using smart water in it I would. The pastries and cookies are awesome too. Oh and they have wifi in case you need a quick connect, or need to catch up on emails quickly. Hopefully they can add stevia to their sugar alternatives so I don't always have to carry mine, ha....

Lovely place with good sandwiches, pastry snacks and great coffee ❤ Staff are very friendly and cheerful 😃 Guest's there are very polite too and all regulars have become part of the family and enjoy eachothers company by socializing, reading news papers or even doing crossword puzzles together. It's a great atmosphere and very welcoming. It's a shame one or two of the review's here are not satisfactory but madame if you wanted peace and quiet to read the news paper you should have gone...
