I'm not going to advise people NOT to go here. I think I just caught the owner on a bad day. Obviously owning a restaurant at the moment is a stressful time but it was my first time at this place and I was really looking forward to it. This is what happened I ordered gyros and greek sausage kebab When told me the price it seemed higher then I expected. He ASSUMED I wanted a large portion. Sure I should have specified but he should have clarified my order. He got quite annoyed with me and made me feel quite uncomfortable He changed the order and changed the price. Showed me the machine to tap my credit card. That's when he lost his temper. I tapped with an American Express card. He said I should have told him if I was going to use Amex. Not sure why because their restaurant is on the Amex website and there is no sign to say No Amex Accepted. He started accusing me of using Amex only to benefit me. This went on for a few minutes. I didnt say much I waited outside for my order. Ibcoukd still here him raising his voice towards his staff about the crime I had committed if using Amex. But I think they made him realise he was in the wrong He called me when my food was ready and did a 360 and was overly polite and gave me my food. Its shame I disnt get an apology or something complimentary as an apology I took the food home and the Gyros was nice but I expected it in a wrap with chips in it. This was just gyros and chips. The greek sausage was good quality but it came with a really cold pitta (I live 1 minute away), salad (fresh) and no sauce at all. I had to go to the supermarket and buy some.
As you can tell I'll never go back which is a real shame because I could have been a weekly customer. But go and try it for yourself. Just DONT USE...
Read moreI asked for a very simple cheese and spinach pie/s to takeaway, then returned 4 minutes later to order some calamari, apparently the calamari takes 10 minutes to fry, but the cheese pie was already done. Avoid at all costs. Everyone knows making a fresh cheese pie/s will take 15mins plus.. Trying to sell me something warmed in a microwave then blasted in an oven.. The man looked confused when i walked back in and asked him to put it in the bin because i didn't want to litter ouaide the premises. Looked comparable to a tesco pecan plait, but less fresh. Terrible How long can it take to make fresh filo daily and produce a cheese pie, i know the lattice /plait will have taken more time than it took them to serve me. Keep it simple. Looked worse than frozen or tesco pastry. I can't uunderstand a restaurant that basically makes salad or fried food requiring the 2 chefs, plus whoever in the actual kitchen, plus front of house, with no custom, tops 3 people inside tonight. Save me your cost cutting and send people back to learn to cook Price wise, 1 pound for a tesco equivalent, i wouldnt entertain paying them the 5 pounds they ask...
Read moreThey claim to be a friendly authentic greek resteraunt however this could not be further from the truth. I have eaten here twice and had bad experiences both times.
The first time i was approached by a rude elderly man who i think is the owner and i am sure is of eastern European decent and is definently not greek. He rushed to take my order and as a result of this, i received the complete wrong meal and had to send it back.
The second time (today) i ordered a Chicken Gyro. I paid and collected the ready to eat gyro from the till and proceeded to sit outside the shop on one of the tables. The same man as before (rude old eastern European owner) came outside and told me i had to pay extra to sit down and eat outside. I would understand this if the shop was busy but myself and my friend were the only customers in the whole shop.
Severely disappointed & defo would NOT recommend. Far better alternatives...
