We had my husband's wake at the Duck & Ball this week , I had never been before but it had been recommended to me by a family member , and i am so glad they did , Sharon is an absolute god send , she helped arrange everything for us , nothing was too much trouble , i forgot to do a playlist so Sharon organized music to be playing that my Husband would have liked , The food was fantastic , ( we had over a 100 people ) so a lot to cater for , everybody commented on how lovely the food & the venue was , lovely indoor bar with tons of seating and sofas . to the covered terrace with extra seating , and we also had use of the marquee which is right next to the building ,also the grounds for the children to run around . If you are playing a wedding birthday party , wake or any other celebration i would recommend this venue 100%. I can highly recommend The Duck and Ball for hosting my mum's wake. Everything was perfect and everyone loved being there. The setting is magic on the Dukes Meadows, free parking, great space and facilities, the atmosphere, food, drink and attention to all details was amazing. When you are dealing with a death in the family you want to know that the celebration of their life will be stress free. Jim, Leonora and Sharon were so professional but caring at the same time.
