Would never step there again.
No adult supervision, kids are running the place and they decide how to do and what to do based on their Instagram profile for the day or whatever else they make decision via. Since thereās no other place in London to offer such services, I swallowed my pride and took the gestapo-like conditions of booking and reserving slots, taking the risk i might lose some sessions since nobody can stand to the high level of booking scrutiny they demand (half the terms and conditions shown on every booking process is in capital letters and exclamation marksā¦), and all along, just work with whomever coach is available at that time no matter how much they know about skiingā¦
As to the costs: unimaginable fees, I just thought of a number and thrown it on the wall. Naturally, some Londoners would say yes to any price tag for some short while, whilst theyāre looking for alternatives. After one year of success they had in having the schedule fully booked with outrageous fees(Ā£100 for half an hour!) They wrongly praised the manager for being so audacious and not bankrupting. We will see how long that will last for this group of merry kids.
Toilets are filthy, no soap available. Toilet paper leftovers on the floor. Last century style toilet cubicles matching a school in the 1950s, rather than the leisure club in the 21st century. The place is reeking of stench of sweat, ammonia/ vinegar and bacteria and the sitting area is filthy, and Disgusting to sit on.
Had my membership cancelled and money refunded since they wouldnāt allow me to confirm who my coach will be be as an intermediate skier. I needed to work on specific elements rather than just ski side to side for half an hour without any improvements. Lovely bunch of people if it wasnāt for the idiotic and Disorganised approach. Managerial skills close to 0. Customer service awareness zero. I donāt see myself going back there even if they are the last dry slope remaining...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter not snowboarding for 8 years I went to Skieasy for a few refresher lessons which was well worth it! It meant when I got on the slopes that I didnāt have to spend my first 2 days figuring it out again!
5 years later Iāve just returned to skieasy to introduce my girlfriend to snowboarding as sheās always wanted to try it and she is now desperate to get a trip booked!
Special thanks to Hamza who instructed her lesson. In just one double lesson she was confident and competent enough to be controlling her speed and changing direction without any assistance on her heel edge, as well as starting to work on her toe edge
itās absolutely great having an instructor in front of you the whole time youāre boarding/skiing, you learn so much quicker and have a lot more confidence compared to going down a slope, then fighting with the lift to carry you back up to the top, to then get a pointer, to try again, repeating again and again
this is ādry slopeā, it is a lot harder than actual snow, but if you can ski/board on this, then when you get on the snow itās easy (you just have to make some small adjustments)
Will definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat opportunity to train before the slopes. All the team are very friendly and helpful. Jamie is THE MAN! He's an excellent instructor and even went above and beyond advising me how to get the right boots. Can't wait to try out my shiny bright red boots on the snow. Thanks guys for a really nice experience! I had 4 lessons in the space of 3 weeks, yes it's not on snow, but because you're on a treadmill you can really perfect your technique in ways that cannot be achieved on the slopes. I'm going to follow up with further lessons on the snow with my shiny new boots so that I can enjoy the experience and (hopefully) avoid any injuries. I was late to one lesson and although they could've easily have said tough, they didn't, as they had a space straight after. They made the exception the once and it's appreciated. Although I'm sure if they didn't have the space I would've lost my ski time. They are very busy and this is because they are good, great for...
