A response to the owner's reply: I was taken aback by the unusual and unprofessional response from the restaurant. This prompted me to read several other reviews, which revealed similar patterns. Instead of taking responsibility, the management seemed to attack and personally insult those who had negative experiences, referring to us as "local guide 'warriors' hiding behind keyboards." They suggested that they were not welcome in the area and even advised some to eat at fast-food restaurants instead, undermining dinners' judgments about food. For the record, I just gave a few five-star reviews this week. It seems you are more focused on attacking your customers rather than improving or offering an apology. If unhappy customers are always wrong and subjected to criticism, perhaps you are in the wrong business. In response to your comments: Firstly, no one came to check if our food was okay or if we were enjoying our meals despite only one other table being occupied. It would be beneficial to have someone check in with diners. Much of the food was bland and tasteless. I have many years of experience working in a thriving Asian restaurant, so please don’t suggest I go to McDonald's or Nando's—as you dismissively did with other reviewers. Secondly, one party member received his meal over 30 minutes late, after we had already finished ours. I complained several times, and your responses were simply "another few minutes", again and again. A decent business would offer compensation, remove the item from the bill, or at least ensure that the dish served is of acceptable quality. When his meal finally arrived, it was tasteless and dry, consisting only of noodles and a few chicken pieces. He is not a picky eater at all, yet he was disappointed. It would have been wiser to take responsibility and apologise in your response. Despite these issues, I rated the restaurant three stars because one staff member was friendly and the stir-fried broccoli was decent. However, I don’t believe this place truly deserves that rating.

Convinced this is the best Asian food in NW London! Often times I either have to choose Japanese if I want dumplings or Chinese if I want Chinese food but The Dumpling House offers all of it! We went for the first time based on the high quality google reviews and we weren’t disappointed! The dumplings were perfectly flavoured and crispy! We had their famous beef dish (no. 50) and the Korean chicken, everything was 10/10. The owner/chef also comes out from time to time to chat to her regulars and to see how you enjoyed your meal, she went on to say how she folds 500 dumplings in the morning! I can see why as they’re so delicious! After our first visit this has easily become our favourite Asian food place and we can’t wait to return and try out more items on the menu!

Really warm and friendly restaurant. I confirm that the dumplings are excellent, although they are slightly on the small side. I was also really pleased with the Kimchi Fried rice! The owner (Jin?) is apparently Korean, so that makes sense of these dishes. We also ordered some Chicken Teriyaki—which although satisfactory—was not on the same level as the dumplings. I would definitely return to this spot and focus entirely on the dumplings next time—especially since the prices are quite reasonable.

The food is good, boss is friendly and the environment is comfy; however, there’s one crucial reason that would make us avoid to visit the restaurant again - The customer service of two staffs is really unpleasant and unprofessional. They made the customers feel like you are not welcomed to come at all and you’re disturbing them talking to each others. When we asked for something, their expression and reaction were rude and it seems liked you shouldn’t bother them. If Google allows ‘zero’ star for service, I wouldn’t hesitate to rate it as zero.

This is our worst customer service experience in recent years. I’m not exaggerating at all and I’ve checked the other people comments that some of them also complained about their customer service. It’s quite a shame that a restaurant with good food and friendly boss is significantly impacted by loose management of staffs.

I strongly recommend the friendly and kind boss would need to seriously consider to conduct a comprehensive training and guidance to her staffs about customer service and table serving for their cuisine/dishes going forward - or directly replace the staffs and hire more capable and...

Dumpling House: A Delightful Experience for the Whole Family

I recently visited Dumpling House with my husband and our picky-eater kids, and I must say, it exceeded all our expectations. As someone who grew up with traditional Korean cuisine, I can be quite skeptical about Asian restaurants, but Dumpling House won me over.

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the owner, Jin, whose friendly demeanor set the tone for the evening. The restaurant is small but incredibly cozy, with a welcoming ambiance that made us feel right at home.

The food was absolutely amazing. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and expertly prepared. Despite my children's selective tastes, they found several dishes they loved, which is no small feat!

As the evening went on, the restaurant became quite busy, highlighting its popularity. I would definitely recommend booking in advance to secure a table.

Overall, Dumpling House is a hidden gem that offers a fantastic dining experience. Whether you're an aficionado of Asian cuisine or just looking for a great meal with your family, this place is...
