The first bar that I went after moving to this country. Itā€™s warm, cozy and staff are friendly. Drinks are reasonably priced. A lot of people who visit there seems regular and now that I stay in the same locality Iā€™m a regular too. Itā€™s just they donā€™t serve food but you can bring your food and eat here. The decor is nice, English, old world charm and the location is good. Itā€™s safe and the staff ensure that regulars are not disturbed by miscreants.

This pub has seen some action. Hard by the canal and railway it has seen Hayes change from rural, to industrial, and now to residential. With Elizabeth Line now open, the changes in Hayes will accelerate - and a pub like this must be "at risk". Old building, older customers, screens for racing and everyone knows everyone else. Orders are poured as locals open the door. See it now, in five years it will be unrecognisable.

My brother made a Shirt Trip to England and we went here last friday morning and again in the evening. The old crown is a very nice, cozy little pub with fantastic prices. Also, the people here are super nice and welcoming. If you are in Harrow, come here for a good pint of beer. Cheers, and best greetings from the two german guys.

Iā€™ve been a local to this area for 9 years and this is the first time i popped in. It was very nice. Itā€™s during covid so staff were great reminding people about mask.

Ordering drinks on phone app was great but no real option for ā€œon the rocksā€ So tequila came in small shot glass rather than glass with ice, disaronno also in glass no ice but I was happy!

It was an excellent visit. Nice punters too. I just wanted to be left alone to play games on my Nintendo switch and have a drinkā€¦Iā€™ll definitely be back

I do hope theyā€™d consider a more premium silver tequila for future too.

Oh shocked with selection of alcohol tho some stuff on app was either unavailable. Again excellent staff, great prices....

Aug 2019 - My boyfriend and I went in to watch the Liverpool match. I was in a wheelchair with a walker and the people were so nice and very accommodating and so friendly. We had a great time and felt at home. The crowd was awesome. They have a smoking area right on the side so you can watch the game and enjoy your drinks. The only downside was I couldn't use the toilet as I couldn't get over the step. Thanks for making my first visit to an English pub such a fun time!!

April 2022 - different crowd, different atmosphere. But that could have been due to the time of day. Fewer tables, but that is probably due to Covid. The ladies room was very clean. The Stella beer was...

Exit Hayes and Harlington station look right, over the Canal, and if by magic.....shazam there it is.

I walked through the doors and thought ok.....'Working Man's Pub', but that was no deterrent. It's a bit rough and ready, no 'heirs and graces' but lovely clientĆØle and staff.

PiĆØce De RĆ©sistance by far is the price of a pint. Cheapest this side West of Paddington. In fact, the Cheapest I've found in the whole of London.

To be honest, if I took the Elizabeth line return from Paddington, had a good old drink up and wobbled home. It would be cheaper than doing the same in W2 where a pint is generally an eye watering Ā£7.40.
