Having used this place many times in the past I was pleased to hear that it had been re-opened. That was short lived my 1st visit since it's opening was an example of how not to run an eatery. No receipts given unless you ask for one, which led to further issues later on as not only I but one very frustrated and irrate was asked to prove what she had ordered. My order I thought was nice and simple scrambled eggs on salmon, croissant and 2 teas. This in itself was trying as the cashier was too keen to cash in rather than listening to my order. I had to ask for 2 teas as only one was out through. Had the cashier confirmed my order at the time the problems experienced 20 mins later (my wait for my order) to turn up would not have happened. First I am told that the salmon is not available and I would need to order something else. The fact it had taken 10 mins to find this out I decided to stick with the teas and croissant already served and requested a refund. "Do you have your receipt" I was asked. I explained I wasn't given one. After a few minutes of disputing my order a cash refund was given. 10 mins later two orders of scrambled eggs on salmon turn up, 10 minutes after being told no salmon was available it was 5hem I noticed what I had been charged reflected this.
By this time you can imagine I was not pleased. I was offferd one of the meals complimentary, but my Sunday morning had already been ruined and I requested a refund on the whole order .
Luckily I paid with my phone as I was told then that receipts aren't given unless requested and that track of orders are via the pager given once order was taken, this I no longer had as I had been paged to advise me that the meal was ready only to find out they they couldn't fulfil my order. What a joke.
One saving grace was the pleasant young man attending my table who apologized and tried his best to win back me as a customer.
I personally won't be going back as I am sure not many of the other patrins who too experienced longer than...
Read moreReally nice coffee and cake but staff were super rude and unhelpful. I visited with my elderly mum whilst I was on crutches. Barista couldn't give my mum a clear description of the difference between and latte and cappuccino and seemed more attentive to the even ruder man in the queue behind us who kept tutting and sighing ( you're in a park on a sunny day- what's the rush?) forgot my cake and then didn't offer to help us with getting a holder. There is barely any room on the table with cup holders, sugar, lids etc and there were people behind us. Another staff member grumbled that we were in his way- I asked him to please help my mum with the packaging up the drinks to which he responded 'if you make some space for me'. I'm so upset with how we were treated. A polite 'please excuse me' or 'would you like some help' would have been much more acceptable. Will never come here again and if you need more space redesign the cafe and make it easier for customers, and please have in mind people with disabilities. It's not at all...
Read moreNo idea why the management keeps changing. I keep seeing different faces everytime. We have been coming to this place for over 8 years and it has never been consistent in service and products. I guess the only reason this place is busy is because there is not much of an option, there is but people just simply can’t be bothered to go the main road. They just wanted to charge me for a baby chino whereas I have never elsewhere. And the lady had some funny attitude. Come on, we r talking about a quarter of a size of a flat white cup of milk. Seriously? Guys, wake up!! good business requires gestures, respectful attitude and consistency. And even though I asked for a extra hot latte, they all came out cold. Well done guys, you lot lost another...
