🚇 Bermondsey 🍺 £5.30 Cruzcampo
The Queen Victoria is located in Bermondsey in Southeast London. The nearest Tube is Bermondsey on the Jubilee Line.
This Victorian corner pub dates back to 1841 and is clad in beautiful brown tiles. This Bermondsey boozer is said to have been the inspiration behind the Queen Vic on Albert Square.
This pub has a good-sized bar with a central island servery. The décor is traditional, featuring some attractive original elements and a few modern touches. It includes a jazzy carpet, tiling around the servery, a mix of seating—including several booths—a pool table, and a dartboard. Screens showing Sky Sports and TNT Sports are dotted around the walls and in the booths. At the rear of the pub, there is a walled beer garden.
The beer lineup offers a selection of familiar keg favourites, with the Guinness coming highly recommended. It was a warm day, so I opted for a Cruzcampo. My pint hit the spot, price point was reasonable at just over fiver. This is a wet-led pub, so no food is served here, there are plenty of snacks if you’re feeling peckish.
I arrived around 11:30 a.m. on a sunny Friday morning in April. A couple of local punters were already in, enjoying an early tipple. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back, I pulled up a stool at the bar to enjoy my pint. The pub can get very busy on Millwall match days, so choose your time to visit. I had a brief chat with the landlady, who was warm and welcoming. The staff on duty were friendly, funny and down-to-earth.
I’ve got to say, it really warms my heart when you walk into a local boozer and feel welcome straight away. Loved it here—friendly staff, cheap pints, and loads to keep you entertained. @queenvic_bermondsey is a must visit if you’re in the area.

Not impressed as no beers on tap.
No food available.
The manager was friendly but bar was very quiet, main refurbishment due September ?
I'm watching their site.
Call me cynic, l still believe it will close & be turned into flats, it feels like the owners are just going through the motions & will go back to the council saying "well we did try"
They need to get a proper landlord/lady in to give it a jolt ASP.
As Bermondsey is known for its beer mile, l would have thought they would have had a few local...

Earlier in the day it is good to catch sports, and as it gets later the music gets louder, so at different times of day it will appeal to a different segment of the local people. Definitely a local community pub, no matter what time...
