UPDATE TO BELOW REVIEW.. Just did another order, which they cancelled, when calling the guy claimed we are out of their delivery area and are too far. Which makes 0 sense. He was also blunt and emotionless. Also seemed to imply I was lying about ordering before.. shame after left such a good review lasttime. Will now seek elsewhere.

If you're searching for the most authentic, flavour-packed Indian meal, look no further! This was, without a doubt, the most flavoursome Indian food I’ve ever had.

The Lamb Tikka Phall was fiery and rich, bursting with bold spices yet beautifully balanced. The Chicken Chat Puri Starter (extra hot!) delivered a delightful kick with succulent, well-seasoned chicken wrapped in soft, warm puri—perfection! The Keema Rice was another knockout, infused with deliciously spiced minced meat and the perfect amount of heat.

Every dish was cooked to absolute perfection, the sauce was thick and indulgent, the meat was tender and full of flavour, and everything arrived hot and steaming, just as it should. Timing was spot on, proving that they care about both quality and service.

Of course, the papadam added that satisfying crunch to round off an unforgettable meal.

We’ve been very loyal customers of The Taj for years, but sadly today was the last time we will order from them. We placed an order online and it showed as pending. After calling the restaurant they told us that their website had experienced a terrible glitch and that they were not taking orders via it, and that payment would be returned in a matter of days. We were a little disappointed as The Taj offers good food at reasonable prices. To our surprise, an hour and 20 minutes later we get a knock on the door from a driver handing over our order, which supposedly did not go through. We called the restaurant and was told that there was nothing that they could do and that they would ‘sort something out’ next time, which was ridiculous as we had ordered and received a takeout from another restaurant. When we asked the manager at The Taj to correct their mistake (surely somebody should have called us to advise that they were able to receive the order - even though it was pending and still is on the site), we were told that we could do ‘whatever we like’. Sad to say that this isn’t the first poor experience we’ve had, but this experience has cost us dearly - especially in this cost of...

This venue is wholly immoral! Not only do they spam people illegally. I have no connection with this venue but they spammed me an advert. When I posted the spam screenshot the owner sought to claim I was mistaken as it must be another restaurant. It had the venues name address and phone number in it NO MISTAKE! Also on trip advisor any restaurant they see as a competitor they post a “question” that is simply an advert for theirs! I know these were them as the profile posting the spam questions uses the same profile to post management responses to trip advisor reviews….BUSTED! Multiple “questions” reported to trip advisor which they removed! The response seems to ignore the fact that THEY FIRST CONTACTED ME WITH SPAM. Also many of the spamming of other venues in their area were posted by someone who had a management role in responding to reviews on trip advisor thus there must be some culpability despite denials. I also live 25 miles from the venue with some brilliant venues nearby, why would I be interested in travelling to such a morally...
