Tops Fish Bar — Restaurant in London

A traditional fish and chips shop in the heart of East Barnet Village. Mainly takeaway but have a handful of tables.

It was recommended to me by a friend, and even though I drive past nearly every day I've never been in.

After walking in and seeing there were no fish ready on display, it actually reassured me that the cod I'd be ordering would be fresh.

I have been visiting this Fish and chip shop for years now. Over time it is easy to forget how good it is. On occasion when I happen to be somewhere else and buy fish and chips then I rediscover how good in comparison my local chip shop is. I cannot vouch for the rest of their food as I have not ever tried it but I can honestly say that I have not had traditional fried battered cod as fresh and as delicious as this...

Have been here a couple of times during the day and no complaints Popped in this evening Served by someone I've not seen in there before but suspect he's the owner Could not have been ruder Never offered me salt and vinegar on my chips The smallest dribble of curry sauce on top
