I was asked if I could leave a positive review by a male waiter. I dislike it when businesses ask and put pressure on customers for favours. It’s happened to me a few times and when it does I will write a review but not one you pressure me to write but what I really think of your business. You asked for a review, so here it is!….

We found the waiter moody and superficial. At the end he gave us a complimentary tiny cup of tea and sweet, but as a barging chip of course, which we soon discovered when he asked for a positive review in return. I saw him do the same thing to other customers too. I bet most of the reviews on here are from customers pressured to do so.

The food is very average and nothing special. We used to get a take away frequently when this restaurant used to be called Shish. Then the management renamed to Turkish Gobble and spent thousands on redecorating and of course those expenses have been passed down to customers. Before you used to get average food for a reasonable price. Now you get average food for a ridiculous price. Many other Turkish restaurants in the area offering similar food for much less. For take aways only, Turkish Gobble are very stingy when it comes to giving out sauces. What they don’t understand is if you sting over giving the customer an extra sauce or two, to try and save 10p, you’ll ruin their evening and they’ll go else where next time.
