The luxury of having a decent cappuccino in London after 4 p.m. is beyond any explanation. I got the privilege to be here all thanks to my beautiful friend who introduced me to this place. Initially I was wondering why a place with so much of good food has less people coming in and my fair assessment says that since it’s located in a not so predominantly coffee goers area and the fact that there is a pub right next to it, people prefer drinking rather than dining and drinking here. Had it been near a university it would had been the most busiest place one could ever go to. This is one of those rare finds that you will not regret and it will not disappoint you. It has a certain charm to it. The tiramisu here is to die for. Trust me when I say this, I’ve travelled lengths just for the sake of the tiramisu. The cappuccino is amazing as well served with a beautiful cookie. I also had the pleasure of trying their vegetarian pasta which I really liked though not a big fan of vegetarian food. It was decent. I prefer sitting outside on a sunny day but they have air conditioning so sitting inside isn’t a problem at all. The best thing about this place is their utmost humility and care that they have for you which in today’s world everyone lacks. They will greet you with a smile. You can sense by the way they behave that apart from the food they have nothing else but kindness to offer. A must visit place in London.

Gem of a place close to Highbury & Islington station. We found it by accident one night whilst looking for a nightcap and have been back several times. The lunch and dinner menu is superb and I always gravitate to the rotating pasta of the day option which has been perfect every time, and also introduced me to some new pastas and flavour combinations (the chef is from Naples). Good wine list at decent prices too. Personally i love the dessert wines with the homemade tiramisu to round things off. The owner is one of the nicest guys around, always making sure everything is perfect and you have a good time (sometimes aided by a cheeky limoncello). They also do tasty breakfasts - I took a work contact for coffee and we escalated things to the Highbury breakfast (filling) and avocado, eggs and bacon on toast - both excellent choices. Top place, very unique. Grateful to have this nugget on the doorstep for morning lunch and dinner (or drinks) options. Recommend a visit especially if you are by the station or Union Chapel.

The best restaurant in Islington… 10x better than Trullo if you‘re looking for an excellent Italian. My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place and the owner, Patrick, welcomed us in warmly. He took the time to share the restaurant concept, let us try and test wines until we found our favourite, and attended our table with care and intention. I’ve not found somewhere so homely, inviting, and well executed in London and I’m super happy that this is so closeby. The meats are from an excellent producer (the owner goes to buy it himself!), the wines are really high quality, and he has an in-house baker who uses organic ingredients for the recipes. Simple, well executed and refined. If you don’t visit I genuinely think you’re missing out on a fantastic meal with a wonderful host. As I said, far far better than Trullo and you’ll leave with a warm feeling in your heart from Patrick.

I am fortunate enough to have discovered a local restaurant in London that has become my go-to spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This hidden gem has truly captured my heart with its exceptional offerings and warm ambiance, making each visit a delightful experience.

Let's start with breakfast—their menu boasts a selection of mouthwatering options crafted with fresh ingredients. From perfectly cooked eggs to delicious pastries, every bite is a testament to their commitment to quality and taste. The breakfast experience alone is enough to keep me coming back for more, and it sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Moving on to lunch and dinner, this restaurant truly shines with its brilliant pasta creations. The pasta dishes are masterfully prepared, showcasing a harmonious blend of flavors that are sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate. The attention to detail in each dish is evident, and it's a true testament to the culinary expertise of the kitchen staff.

What truly elevates this restaurant is the amazing atmosphere that greets you as soon as you step through the door. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and exudes a sense of comfort. It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a memorable meal with friends or loved ones. The interior decor creates a cozy and welcoming space that instantly puts you at ease, enhancing the overall dining experience.

One cannot overlook the friendly staff, especially Petar, the owner, who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels valued and well taken care of. Petar's warm and welcoming nature is infectious, and his recommendations for meals are always spot-on. His genuine passion for creating a memorable dining experience is evident in every interaction, making the restaurant feel like a second home.

In conclusion, if you're in London and seeking a local restaurant that excels in breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. Indulge in their great breakfast options, savor the brilliant pasta creations, and relish in the inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a truly memorable dining experience. With friendly staff Cristina and Emmanuel, chief Francesco, spearheaded by the exceptional Patrik, this restaurant is sure to leave a lasting impression on both your taste buds...

Great new place at Highbury Corner. The coffees and pastries are lovely. I have them nearly every day. The full menu is always fab - I've had mostly breakfast things and every time it's fabulous. My daughter loved their full breakfast. Clearly they've put some effort into getting a good chef and good ingredients. And the price is reasonable for the area.

Speaking of the staff, they are great. Helpful and friendly but not hovering over you. They actually want to look after you and make sure you have a good experience! Shocking - I know.

Finally - and this is pulls it all together for me - the cafe's big front window. It's very tall and lets in lovely filtered light. And the cafe's main seating area is the top level of the split level back of the shop. So you have this lovely open view with nice filtered light.

There's lot of options in the area and many are pretty good. Urban Cafe is a great addition and feels a cut above for me because they do it all great in a lovely space. Selfishly, I want them to succeed (they opened two months ago or so) so I can...
