Avoid this place like the plague!!!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. When I ordered I was told that I couldn’t have tofu and prawns in my noodles because it was “too hard” and then that they couldn’t deliver and I couldn’t pay any way other than cash. I checked that I would get the 10% discount on take away printed on their menu to which they said “no”. Despite this I had guests and ordered anyway as we had already decided what we wanted. When I got there I pointed out my experience to the manager and that I wasn’t happy. On the counter in front of me was the menu stating that you get10% off for take away. I pointed this out and asked why they would still be advertising something they were no longer offering. The reason given was that they hadn’t had new menus printed. I Found this unacceptable and said I wanted the discount. I hadn’t planned to do that until I saw that they were still advertising the offer and my view was that I was entitled to it. I wasn’t happy in view of the fact I had already had to comprise. In the end the manger fleet begrudgingly said I could have the discount. This meant the food came to £40.32 and of course he was very insistent that I give him the 32pence. As this was cash only and all I had was a £10 and 2 £20 notes I said that would have to do. In response I was given a bowl of change and no £5 note. This really was the final straw and I said that this was insulting and very poor customer service.

It was at this point that another member of staff snatched the food from me and told me they “didn’t want to serve someone like you”. This member of staff shouted it while a family was eating nearby. I was shocked and to his credit the manager took the food off her and gave it to me. Though he did say that he didnt care if I took it with me or not and I could take my money and leave. At this point the female member of staff then tried to take the food saying I would “leave a bad review”. I pointed out that taking the food from me would get a worse review and it was rude and presumptuous to suggest I would lie just b because they had treated me so badly. The food was fine, average but not bad.

The restaurant looks lovely inside, and the waiter/manger was friendly. I ordered the Chicken Curry. Here's the review of the chicken curry. Firstly the Onion pieces within the curry are still crunchy. I would expect them to be soft inside a curry. The Mushroom's in the curry are massive, only cut in half. They should shrink when they're cooked but clearly wasn't cooked long enough. As if they chucked raw mushrooms into the pan and cooked for 5 minutes. I could tell the peas was taken out of the freezer and chucked in for 5 minutes. When i bit into a peas and noticed it was hard, I immediately stopped eating the curry and threw it in the bin. Lastly the chicken pieces are too big. Curry is way too yellow. Should be browned more. I think if the dish was cooked for a another 5 minutes and pieces cut smaller, it would have been alright, but this cannot be the quality of food for a restaurant in Cockfosters. I haven't tried anything else in the restaurant, but it's sad that the first thing I order had to be an experience like this. May visit again to try their other things, but for now, my review is staying...

I've been craving Vietnamese food this past week and they're usually too far away. Went to get kids uniforms and when we went to get something to eat, this was right there...like literally, next door. I couldn't believe my eyes, it was as if I'd won the lottery.

I've had a lot of Vietnamese foods in various countries and they're rare for a reason...they keep it 💯 and this surely didn't disappoint. It was good we were the first when they just opened as kids were tired and a bit unsettled, so we were done by the time people were coming in for a relaxing dinner. Food was gorgeous and service was good too. I was so hungry that I even forgot to take picks of the starters ha. I'll definitely return here several times in the future and the fact they do take-out is even better, as can pick up on the occasions I'm going by. My mouth is still watery just thinking about the delicious...
