Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine at Its Best in Wandsworth Town

As a Vietnamese born in London, I have often found myself craving the authentic flavors of my heritage. Finding a restaurant that delivers genuine Vietnamese cuisine can be challenging, but this place has exceeded all my expectations. The food here is as good as the dishes my mom cooks at home, truly capturing the essence of Vietnamese cooking.

Food Quality The food at this restaurant is outstanding. Each dish is prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail, using fresh ingredients that bring out the authentic flavors of Vietnam. The pho is rich and flavorful, the banh mi is perfectly balanced, and the spring rolls are crispy and delicious. Every bite takes me back to my childhood, reminding me of the home-cooked meals I grew up with.

Atmosphere The atmosphere is perfect for families. The restaurant is warm and welcoming, with a cozy and comfortable setting that makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that every guest has a pleasant dining experience. It’s the ideal place to enjoy a relaxed dinner with family and friends.

Overall Experience I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here. The combination of authentic food and a family-friendly atmosphere makes this restaurant a standout. Whether you are Vietnamese or simply a fan of Vietnamese cuisine, this place is a must-visit. It’s rare to find a restaurant that offers such a genuine taste of Vietnam, and I will definitely be coming back for more.

In conclusion, this restaurant not only meets but exceeds the standards of authentic Vietnamese cuisine. It is a gem in the heart of London, providing a dining experience that is both nostalgic and delightful. Highly...

Me and the missus fancied some Friday night Asian cuisine, but wanted to travel a bit further than usual and have something different beyond the Chinese/Japanese meals we usually have.

We were both really happy we did... and visited Viet Town. The Vietnamese dishes we ordered were delicious! Needless to say, we'll definitely be going back!

We were quite fortunate when we arrived that there were a couple of vacant tables (around 7pm), but it got full up within 15 minutes or so and customers arriving later had to wait, or, put their names down on a 'waiting list' - I'd recommend booking a table before you go there.

Just the number of customers we saw coming tells you this is an "in-demand" place which is always a good sign.

The staff were friendly, delightful and helpful and added to the positive joy of the food itself. You won't be disappointed if you eat here.

We had the Vietnamese Bao Bun and prawn spring summer rolls for starters, and the beef pad thai and special rice noodle soup. The meal filled us up and more than satisfied our Friday night hunger.

The place has a great vibe about it as well as being in a great location too (very close to Wandsworth Town train station), and it's reasonably priced as well.

On departing, I made sure I picked up a card so next time we visit, we'll be reserving a table in advance.

Thanks and regards from two very happy...

Firstly positives, staff are lovely. That's it really.

Now the food. Probably one of the worst experiences since I was sold a burnt to a toast stir fry.

The spring rolls, as you can see, burnt to a crisp, enough oil to power my home for a week. Also burnt ends, provided with a half teaspoon dip. Tasted hideous. Salt and pepper spring rolls as rubbery as elastic band, as you can see no pepper anywhere, maybe it was obliterated in the microwave. Then the noddles, no special packaging to keep warm, but even the 10 mins walk back didn't cool it down, hot enough to melt the Antarctic. Obviously nuked in the microwave, leftovers from last night. Even the customary prawn crackers were terrible, they had this nasty brown stain around the edge.

All of the meal was inedible, all thrown out, felt sick after. Just left with expensive bellyache. Worst part of all this, the restaurant was empty, no excuse whatsoever for this abysmal quality. The first sign should have been the meal was ready quicker than a McDonald's meal.

Word of warning to the owners, keep doing this and people will venture to one of million...

After my first visit, I can say that Viet Town is undoubtedly a shining star in an ever growing town full of magnificent dining options. Authenticity, vibrancy and freshness is something that I find myself seeking more often and from independent businesses. Viet Town delivered on that aspect including the wonderful service from start to finish. While I felt like the only thing missing was that knock out punch of flavour from all the dishes I tried. Not to say the food lacked any flavour, however, I wasn’t blown away by anything. I cannot fault them for the portions and fresh ingredients. The food was delicious and it’s a joy for those who like a bit of spice with their meals. The authentic flavours of Vietnamese cuisine were shining through and I had a blast. The menu is so vast and tempting, I definitely want to try more next time. If you’re looking for something that leaves you more than satisfied then this is the place to be. Although, I didn’t capture all of the pictures from everything I ate, I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended
