Veeeery slow. We arrived and they got us a table quickly, but it didn’t have a food menu or drinks menu. We needed to ask for a menu after about 15 minutes and then had to ask again to get the drinks menu. When ordering food, we were told the wait would be 20-30 minutes, but it ended up being over 50 minutes, which seemed to be the case for a lot of tables as some were asking how long their food would be. When the food arrived the sandwiches were mixed up (the fillings were correct but on the wrong type of bread). We didn’t complain as it had already taken too long at this point. The food was disappointing this time…we’ve been before and the food has been better. It generally felt that nothing was running smoothly and the waitresses felt a little embarrassed as they knew everything was taking ages. They don’t ask how the food or service was and don’t attempt to get tips or service.

Fundamentally it seems their kitchen is understaffed and their menu is too vast and variable for the kitchen to keep up with in a timely manner. They also had takeaway walk-ins waiting for long periods too.

It’s a real shame, but given this visit and a couple of average visits previously, we don’t think we’ll...

My son and I had breakfast here this morning and I left feeling frustrated and robbed. The first waitress who served us was welcoming and polite. The prices are very expensive and the food is nothing special. I ordered egg and smashed avocado on toast which is offered together, with extra bacon. When I went to pay for the bill, it stated £8:95 for egg and toast, £2:45 for bacon and £3:45 for avocado. The avocado came in a separate tiny serving dish and was no more than a quarter of an avocado and barely ‘smashed’. I said to the girl on the till (who clearly didn’t want to be there and doesn’t even look at you when serving) that the avocado and eggs were ordered as a set and not as an extra portion. She was very clearly irritated and did not respond but went back to her screen and printed another bill which was changed and 60p less. I understand that business’ need to make money but £3:45 or £2:85 for basically 2 mouthfuls of avocado is a joke. The service was a bit slow. Most of the staff are rude and basically just stare at you with an...

Really disappointed in the service we received on our visit to this restaurant on Wednesdays 15th May 2024. The staff are friendly but when you’re spending £75 for 2 people on a lunch you expect it to be nice and not rushed! There was only me and my sister and a couple on another table so was not busy! Our wine went to wrong table then dessert arrived that was meant for the other table. We order our food 2 calamari and olive for a starter and chicken Shish kebab and seabass for my sister. We alway ask for a short break to go out for a cigarette between meals. Then all the food came out together! We was told they could put our main under the heater while we eat our starters.. I was not impressed! I have not spent time with my sister in along time it all felt rushed with out food the starter were lovely and when we got our main they was a bit dry from sitting under the heater for so long!I was extremely disappointed with this and it’s a lot of money for me to spend and get a service like this… Not impressed as meant to be under...

We usually order from the Chislehurst branch and it’s amazing, however this morning we ordered from Sidcup in error, never again!! My eggs Benedict were freezing cold and all dumped on one half of the muffin and eggs were broken, which may explain the shell I found in my meal (or more specifically in my mouth! 🤮) My husbands croque monsieur was literally half the size it is from Chislehurst with stupidly hard bread. Seriously Walnuts Sidcup you’re an absolute disgrace to the chain and you literally just robbed us, thanks! Just for context in the photos the top one is from Chislehurst and the bottom is Sidcup as is the egg shell pic!

Clean, spacious, and beautifully kept — this place never disappoints! The food is fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious meals and hot and cold drinks. I had the French toast today (couldn’t wait to dig in!), and the Mediterranean dish was a perfect 10/10. I live in Bromley but happily make the drive here every other week — it’s that good. Service is fast and friendly, prices are fair, and parking is easy with spots right outside or nearby. Buses also stop right at the door. Highly recommended! The mojitos looked inviting and refreshing but I had already had two cappuccinos, definately next time.
