“Its all about the dough”
Im a big fan for pizza, so i thought it would be fun to try out the very best pizza restaurants that london has to offer.
I accomplish this using google search and reviewing several best london pizza establishments websites such as Time Out, where I discovered that Yard Sales came up numerous time. With this I knew where my next pizza adventure would take place.
After a 10min walk from my nearest train station I was quite happy to see that they offered outdoor seating which I was considering but the weather was cold and chilling sadly.
At first, I did find the establishments a bit messy with massive food containers at the front, motorcycle helmets in a box and stacks of pizza boxes at the dining area.
However, Yard sales seems to focus on takeaway/deliveries rather than indoor dining since it is a fast food establishment which I found to be kind of acceptable.
The staff were very friendly, informative, social and passionate about their foods and when choose to eat indoor, I was given a jug of water with no expenses which I was glad of.
They have a open kitchen so you can see how they prepare their pizzas which I found intriguing. I order the MR LAVA LAVA, which I really loved. It was there that I discovered what makes a great pizza. Its all about the dough, and Yard Sale dough is superb.
Before I left, I used their toilet facility which I found to be clean and tidy with varies plants such as a cactus, I believe.
Highly recommended this 5 star fast food pizza establishment if You want to try out the best that London...
Read moreOrdered 1 pizza at 20:53 to deliver in a pub that accepts delivery food (other tables in the same pub had ordered yardsale pizza already). Pizza took 2 hours to get delivered. Showed as "in delivery" at 22:00 and immediately changed to "delivered". Called up the shop that re-assured me that pizza was in transit and would get delivered, only reason it's showing up as delivered is because they close at 22:00. 22:30 and pizza is still not delivered I call them up, telling them that the pub has closed and we are sitting outside in the cold waiting for the pizza, they apologised, said they will check with the driver and call back. They never called back. 22:53 we decide to start walking home, 2 mins later we see a motorbike so we run and get the pizza.
There's literally no excuses for this delay. Even if the store was busy, the pizza was cooked and was in transit for literally 1 hour. When it arrived it was stone cold. Will never order again, and it's a shame cause their pizza is good.
EDIT: After reaching out to Yard Sale pizza about my experience I had a very positive interaction discussing what went wrong, I was offered a refund plus extra credit for giving them another try.
I will be giving them another try and I am glad that this was handled this way in the end as it was a very good interaction. Keeping this review up with a raised score to...
Read moreI've been a regular at Yardsale (Walthamstow) since they opened. Been really disappointed with recent experiences. I live two streets over and the pizza almost always arrives cold. It looks like the pizza-making and delivery drivers are not coordinated. So they are likely made and sitting on a counter getting cold while waiting for a driver (their own) to pick up. This is not ok under any circumstance, much less when I'm two mins away. In the last 7 days, I placed orders on two nights. The first arrived cold and too late for me to pre-heat oven, so we had cold pizza. Two days later, I was having friends over and ordered large pizzas. I called and told them about the recent issue and asked very politely if this could be delivered hot. Obviously got cold pizzas again (with very little toppings). I've never had a good experience with the large pizzas at YS. They just don't seem to get that right. Thoroughly unpleasant experience - again. About half of it went uneaten and binned next morning. I was also double-charged online a few weeks ago, but received a refund when I wrote to them. Don't mind that. But coupled with everything else, I don't think I'll...
