Zizzi - Hornchurch — Restaurant in London

Little slow at the start. Person seating people & asking for drinks orders (despite not even having sat down yet, let alone looked at drinks menu), despite taking my request for a glass of water did not get it. I had already asked about wine menu which was on the table & said could I just have a water for now while I decide on a wine.

I then waited over 10minutes for the waitress for my table to be free as she was run off her feet. I had to ask again for the water which then took longer to arrive.

Coffee & dessert were ordered through the scan at table option at the same time. Coffee arrived 5mins before dessert.

To improve please bring simple things like a request for water immediately instead of handing over to someone who is very busy & either forgets or wasn’t told. And please bring dessert first & on its arrival ask if the person would like the coffee to accompany the dessert or after. Never serve coffee before the dessert. Food otherwise okay for a chain. The Montepulciano was quite good too.

Further to the above, at no point did my waitress check in on me to ask how my meal was, either during or on collection of my plates. She did however state on presenting me with the card machine with an already suggested 12.5% tip that I could add a tip if I wanted. It is much preferred not to have this obvious step stated. updated: although my previous review was very good, I have decided to update my new review. Hornchurch Zizzi is the best Zizzi i have been to! The worst Zizzi is the one in Brewery romford absolutely disgusting and cant believe they're still running! Anyways, hornchurch zizzi is great! Barbarathe Manager is just awsome! I remmeber her from the romford store, her customer seervice is not inly exceptional but shes also very professional! The chefs Antonio & Hani must be one of the best chefs I have come across! I can tell by the taste of the food sometiems if there ws a different chef. i woudl also like to praise waitress ana. Shes amazing her service is genuine too. Although Zizzi at Romford brewery is more close to me i prefer coming down to Hornchurch only becuase of the chefs and the staff.i also think Zizzi Hornchurch should start inviting food Influencers and start advertising. Visited Zizzi in Hornchurch on Thursday lunchtime with my wife to take advantage of one of the many discount offers frequently sent to their Perkz App. I used to think that Zizzi was like the many other Italian chain restaurants where much of the food just seems to be something warmed up in a microwave but I couldn’t have been more mistaken, and I have long since realised that Zizzi is several levels above this norm. All the food is freshly prepared, in open view, and the quality is that of a high end restaurant. We both treated ourselves to our favourites ... the King Prawn Spiedini with Garlic Sauce as a starter followed by the Mediterranean Sea Bass and both were absolutely delicious.
