If the manager of Costa on Ashford road sees this, I would encourage you to invest in some training for your lazy and rude staff, clearly demotivated while they continue to gossip about customers behind the counter. Spending £4 on a coffee, I am expecting enhanced customer service. But no, instead I feel as if I am a nuisance to be here, which should NOT be experienced within the hospitality industry. Katie/Kathrine needs to smile. The ginger girl who has been here a while seems to take this job as some sort of joke. I will not be returning and I am surprised these people still work here after numerous complaints over the years. Even a smile would be appreciated. In addition to this, while the workers chat and giggle with customers (which is ok in moderation), dirty plates and cups are left on the tables. I don’t think the staff realise that this automatically makes a coffee shop appear unappealing and neglected. Costa is a huge chain, and this poor customer service will make it go downhill, irrespective of this only being one outlet. Please reinforce this to your staff. Coffee Shop not interested in Walk in as admitted by Staff. In my hours lunch break I went to order a sandwich and coffee after 15 min of waiting I asked the counter staff if they would take my order. Her words to me were that she is unable to take my order as they must prioritise deliveries as they pay more. She also confirmed previous customer have complained but Costa is not interested and that I will be told the same. Really nice to know that Costa Coffee are customer focused and respect their customers. Walk in at your own risk or choose to pay more for delivery if you want a pleasant experience. The staff are rude and unpleasant. I've been to that costa a few times and have seen how differently they treat customers they like compared to me.

My experiences has been constantly unpleasant to the point of me concluding that maybe they just don't like customers that look like me. I wonder if Faye is racist??? I can't help but wonder if her rudeness towards me is racially motivated.

I've seen her treat white customers different from how she's spoken to me and treated me.
