Giving it 3 stars as the place was absolutely rammed and many people had finished whilst myself and others had to cram on small tables. I really think during high demand times some form of turning table time should be insisted. Also the quantity of tables at the front is such that it does feel crammed in. Again, if they had a table turn policy then people could feel more relaxed and or request people with pushchairs collapse their buggies. In addition to this whilst the food was lovely it is premium priced and I did not expect to have to pay London prices in a small village of £13 for a small brunch plate and £4 for one small chocolate chip cookie. The coffee was okay it did taste burnt and again was over £3 I question it being of a barista standard to warrant that price point.
Also dog owners be warned I really debate the dog friendly policy as you can not enter the premises with a dog, you have two tables on a tight pavement outside to use...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis coffee shop has huge potential but unfortunately, the level of service and quality of the coffee do not match the decor. The staff are very polite when you have their attention but during my visit (first thing in the morning and we were the only customers), they were far more intent on having their own conversation between themselves rather than engaging with the customer. I have visited the coffee shop on five occasions (each one for a different reason); each time giving them the benefit of the doubt. I have to say the coffee is the worst I have tasted in a very long time. Bearsted is crying out for a good coffee shop. Unfortunately, Feds has not lived up to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a lovely place, fresh, tasty and different food, which is served beautifully, by lovely staff and in a ambient setting, I even liked the crockery! Popped in for a coffee with my Mum, we ended up having a delicious brunch which we both really enjoyed. Its not the cheapest, but it is quality and when the owner took th time to come over and chat to us, she explained that she likes to use local suppliers so she pays a bit more - which I am all for and it really was worth it. I felt like I was in trendy London cafe, but had the pleasant surrounding of Bearsted Green. Cant recommend highly enough - well worth a visit and the...
