Was visiting friends and decided to go for some dinner. They called and got booked in within the hour. Themed booths are cool. We sat in the James Bond booth. Waitresses were fantastic, always giving you a smile, and the service they did was fantastic. Top girls. Sadly, the food wasn't good and not worth what they charged. £20 for a half rack of ribs (cooked to perfection so the meat just fell off the bone) was the only good bit of food. A small chicken breast covered in melted cheese (overcooked and quite tough and very small) and 2 shrimps on skewers (well over baked as if left under a heated lamp). The salad was nice, and so was the sauce (😋). Fries were also over cooked 🍟 We skipped starters, so we only had the 4 main meals, 2 bottles of Bud beer each for me and my buddy while the girls had an orange juice and a bottle of sparkling water. We did indulge in the ice cream (VERY nice), but after we walked out, we weren't really impressed with the fact that the bill came to over £150 for the 4 of us. Would I go again and try something else 🤔 Probably, to just see if it was a bad day they were having.............and ONLY because the waitresses done a fantastic job. I do hope they are paid well, as staff like that are hard to...
Read moreReally disappointed, we live locally and as an impromptu midweek treat decided to walk down to Sgt Peppers. Got there about 8:15 we noticed there were a few available tables and people sitting there eating. We were astonished to be turned away by the current lady working in the kitchen who said she’d turned the ovens off and couldn’t accommodate us (even though everything we fancied was likely to be grilled or fried) They asked if we could come back another night - unlikely we would risk that incase they turned the ovens off early in the evening again. It was obvious they just wanted to go home early. Most rational buisiness people welcome trade not turn it away because they can’t be bothered. The expression of one of the already seated diners was of amazed disbelief. Great location and captive market as the only American style food in town we’ve known the place since it opened the original staffs well earned good reputation eroded by current staffs attitude. We’ve got a fortieth birthday party to arrange with a booking for over 20 people - won’t be risking it there. Speaking to a lot of local people we are not the only to notice the change in attitude - really not the way to run...
Read moreOn a recent trip to meet friends we decided to eat here - I was less than impressed. The first member of staff who greeted us was very welcoming and friendly, the other was rude and obnoxious.
Our orders were taken quickly and the drinks were bought out in good time, then the waiting began. The food took far too long. In that time we didn't get asked if we wanted more drinks, my partner had to go and ask for service and for an update on the food. When the food arrived I asked for side plates, mine was dirty so I kindly asked for a clean one, the look I got from the member of staff was that of someone who had taken personal offense. The food was mediocre at a push. Oh and what is with the salad bar? We didn't realise it was there until we left, is that for 'special' guests? It would have been good to have know so we could chew on some salad during the wait for our food!
I don't mind food being late if we are kept informed and apologies are offered but that was not the case. It wasn't even busy when we arrived so that wasn't the reason the...
