Cromwell's Nepalese and Indian Cuisine (Worcester) — Restaurant in Malvern Hills

Having last visited probably about 12 months ago, and having a reasonably positive experience, we booked a table for 3 for a friends Birthday meal.

We arrived just before 1930 and were shown to a table after a couple of minutes. We then waited about 10 minutes before we were even given a menu!

That was just a taste of things to come. The starters took an hour to arrive!, and so the waiter arranged for a free Cobra and a coke (after prompting I might add) Now had that have been it and the rest went ok i'd probably have been leaving a more positive review. But it then took almost another hour for the main course to arrive! The person in the party who hadn't ordered a starter waited nearly two hours after coming in before having something to eat!.

While we were waiting other diners were complaining at the bar about the wait and a family who'd been waiting for a takeaway simply walked out.

After the main meal arrived we had to wait again for a side order that was also slightly delayed.

No one approached the table to see of the meals were ok or if we wanted to order any more drinks.

The food was fine when it arrived there. They eventually agreed to a whole £10 off the bill.

If it wasn't for the fact we were already now hours late and didnt want to tarnish my friends birthday any more i'd have paid 50% and walked out - let them sue me.

I found the service to be very poor and I wouldn't bother going there again.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE - DO NOT ORDER TAKEAWAY FROM HERE!!! Ordered takeaway through uber eats, sagg paneer had no paneer cheese but had tomatoes??!! Ordered cheese naann again no cheese! But it got worse when i got to my mains both mine & my husbands chicken dishes had no chicken! Food tasted nothing like it should, and looked like something thrown through a blender or thrown up! I will not be ordering again! Avoid like the plague!! £50 spent on something I wouldn't feed my dog. Called the restaurant to request refund was fobbed off asked how long ago since my order told them 20-30 mins and surprise i was told we don't give refund after 30 mins! Absolutely horrific service & the food, the worst take away I've ever had!! Given generic email address to put in a complaint told manager had left. I organised a birthday meal for my sister for her 20th birthday because we have been going here since we were younger and it’s special to us.

It’s safe to say that the service has been exemplary continuously for the 10 years that we have been going to cromwells.

There was 15 of us (which was originally 8 that I booked online but they were very flexible with my amendments and were happy to accommodate us)

Everything was timed perfectly with a impeccable service and we couldn’t fault it in any way.

The staff all participated in singing for my sisters birthday and clapping and cheering and it was all very wholesome.

The experience was amazing and the staff all made you feel at home ☺️

Thank you cromwells for always providing the best service and very very delicious food. The best curry around, without a doubt 🥰
