Grew up in Worcester and spent a lot of my childhood in Malvern however I’ve been Liverpool based for the last decade. My partner and I were down visiting family for a few days so I was desperate to take him to explore the hills and the town as it’s very different to where we live now.
After a gorgeous mini hike we were starving but wanted to find a local independent that we couldn’t have at home and we absolutely hit the jack pot when we came across the fig.
The sun was shining so we opted to sit outside and the two women working (sorry we couldn’t catch your names) were so genuinely friendly from to get go. The outside area was so pretty with just the right amount of sun and shade without feeling chilly or uncomfortable.
We chose the Fig breakfast which is served all day and it was arguably one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had, if not the best. We tend to go out for breakfast more than dinner due to our working patterns so we’ve tried many a full English but this one is an absolutely must. The food was so fresh and every item just full of flavour.
We both work in hospitality/retail so we’re no stranger to what good customer service looks like and my hat goes off to the staff here because they were just so lovely from the get go.
The final bill was very very reasonable for what we paid and we both agreed after one or two mouthfuls that we will 100% be back next time we’re down this way.
Thank you for a lovely end to our fab day...
Read moreCame here with my partner for dinner. We ordered the following the buratta and french onion soup as a starter. Both were good and a solid 4/5 each. One comment for each dish would be that the buratta could be fresher and the french onion soup could use more cheese and less onions. For our mains, we ordered the ribeye medium rare, the ravioli and fish tacos. The ribeye was flavourful and cooked perfectly; the ravioli was one of the best I had ever had and very tasty; and the fish tacos so much flavour profile that just made it delicious. We also got some truffle and Parmesan fries which were amazing as we got them to go as well. As for our dessert, we got a banoffe pie to share and it was divine. Very delicious to share tonight and definitely will be trying other deserts when coming back! Overall, the ambiance was calming but and the drinks were very nice and made us feel very comfortable. The mains were very delicious and very great staff working here and a special thanks to the chef for such great food. One improvement would be the time management in terms of the interval between each meal. Thank you for a...
Read moreI rarely have an experience which truly deserves a 5 star rating but The Fig is one of those rarities. I have eaten lunch at The Fig three times over the last four weeks so I can say with certainty that anyone visiting will not be disappointed. The restaurant has three areas to choose from including a sheltered outdoor area. The variety of the menu is excellent. Personally, I think an indicator of good food at a restaurant is the quality of its side salad. The Fig nails it with a beautifully presented, colourful and tasty mix of all the things we expect in a healthy side dish. For the main course, I couldn't pull myself away from the fish dishes, which were perfectly cooked and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The service deserves 6 stars; I can't remember the last time I had such a consistently efficient, friendly and helpful group of staff. Thank you all for your hard work and cheerfulness, you are leaving the competition flailing...
