The Pudding Shop — Restaurant in Malvern Hills

We went to Upton upon Severn to look for an interior design shop. On our way back to the car park, my friend decided to introduce me to this long established family owned and run business. I believe it is now 2nd generation. My friend always buys her Christmas pudding from this delightful artisan pudding shop.

We called in late afternoon to get some puddings as a dessert. At this point in the afternoon, I believe the savoury puddings are sold out; a very good sign in my opinion.

I opted for the "Black & Blue" pudding. It was utterly delicious. The blueberry with a blackcurrant sauce and a light fluffy sponge is divine. It is a super-fruity tasting pud.

This is a decent sized pudding and there is no scrimping on the fruit/sauce and it microwaved really well. I'm embarrassed to admit, that I was so pleased with the look of it that I ate the lot before remembering that I should have taken a photo!

The Pudding Shop, is just of the main road, on a small industrial estate, so it has parking at the front, which is helpful if you need this. I liked the fact that you can see the work area from the counter at the front of the shop. The service was polite and helpful.

I am sure the next time I visit my friend's in Malvern, we will be heading back to the Pudding Shop, so I can sample more puds. If you are in the locality and love puddings and/or supporting local family run businesses, then I can highly commend the Pudding Shop.

Sadly, I didn't pay enough attention, so I am not sure if special dietary needs are...

Found details of the Pudding Shop in the information room whilst staying at the Malvern Hills Caravan Club site, visited on first day, as it sounded just my sort of place, greeted warmly by Don, and selected some puddings to try whilst on site,they were one of the highlights of our visit ordered Steak puds and more sweet puds to collect on our day of departure,all fantastic a real culinary triumph . Just eaten one of the awesome steak and Guinness suet puddings. Totally amazing, hand made traditional comfort food. Nom nom nom. Beautiful slow cooked steak and the Guinness gravy was just the right amount. The steak and stilton one is also good, I have also tried the cheesy one too.
