Wow wow wow is all I can say about this place. We booked a 1 night stay to celebrate our anniversary and wanted something a little different from the usual hotel. My other half is a lover of craft beer so what better place than a Brewdog hotel. The Room. It was unreal, stylish, interesting, comfortable, cosy. It had absolutely everything you could want in a room. An extensive mini bar, beer fridge in the shower, record player, guitar, books, robes, hair dryer, iron, iron board, mini safe the list goes on. Little touches like a motion sensor light when you get out of bed in the night.
The Service, we received a WhatsApp a few hours before we arrived just as a pre welcome, they also welcomed any messages, they have a partnership with the NCP just around the corner and unless you pay on the app like we did, you don't pay til you leave so will get for £15 for first 24 hours. An absolute bargain for a city centre NCP. We received a welcome drink upon arrival, our room wasn't ready til 3pm so we enjoyed a game of jenga in the bar until it was. The staff were friendly, welcoming and polite. We booked our room with dinner included which was equivalent to £15 per person. The menu is wings, burgers, loaded fries and a few other sides like mac n cheese, there's a good veggie option too. We had wings, loaded fries and a burger to share, WOW the food was unreal too. We can not fault this place, the best hotel we've stayed in, by far in Manchester and we will definitely be back. Great location, great atmosphere, amazing staff, amazing rooms, fantastic food what more could you want. Get it booked, you won't be disappointed.
Edit** We just ordered breakfast to the room and yet again, they didn't disappoint. Food was unreal 👌 ...
Read moreMy review is reflective of the service for Wing Wednesday's and nothing else.
Poor service and you're limited to 5 wings per order.
Please note that you have to book ahead of time (which I did) to participate on the wing Wednesday offer.
Booked for a table for 6pm which is a 2 hour booking to have "unlimited" wings. We were shown to our table and told someone would be with us. After 10 minutes we asked again and were told he would get someone as he was do a tasting with a table. After 25 minutes of waiting, I went to the bar to say that no one had seen us and was told the ordering system was down and told "I cant do it from here so what do you want me to do".
At 35 past, the person who originally showed us to our table passed and asked if we had been seen to, we told him we hadn't and he said he will try for us and took our order. 10 minutes later the person who was supposed to come and take our order originally came over and asked what we wanted, I said we had placed the order but I wanted to know if i could get mine in batches of 20 so I could attempt the leaderboard. He told us that you get 10 wings to start and then 5 wings can be ordered when we finished them.
We had waited 45 minutes of our 2 hour booking to be told this, obviously we didn't expect to get more than 15 wings in with the service times so we decided to leave. We got no apology for the wait when we told them we were leaving.
We were looking forward to an evening out together over wings, instead we got ignored and left hungry.
This is a nice place, with nice food usually....
Read moreWe visited BrewDog twice recently for the Wing Wednesday and next week for Wing Festival, and the experiences were like night and day.
On our first visit we were looked after by Jorja, who was absolutely fantastic - friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome. Honestly, she’s the only reason this isn’t a 1-star review, as she went above and beyond and left us excited to come back.
Unfortunately, when we returned for the actual Wing Festival the experience was very different and this time it wasn’t Jorja serving us. Our first round of wings took around 45 minutes to arrive with no communication about the delay, and nobody ever came over to check how our food was. When the wings finally arrived, one portion was missing ranch, and they were overcooked and tough. On the next round the blue cheese dip was missing, and again we had to chase it up. Individually these are small issues, but together they made the evening feel careless and disorganised.
The biggest disappointment came at the end of the night. At 9:40pm I asked about the dessert challenge, only to be told the kitchen had already closed - despite the website clearly stating 10pm. We’d been looking forward to it, and being turned away without warning felt unnecessary.
I even tried leaving BrewDog this feedback directly afterwards, but they didn’t bother to respond.
All in all, a very inconsistent experience. Not sure we'll be looking to come...
