We visited The Alchemist on New York Street in Manchester for a corporate event and were initially faced with a challenge in finding adequate seating for our large group. However, thanks to the kind and accommodating staff, we were able to secure a shared large table. The standout of the evening was the extensive and impressive selection of cocktails. They exceeded our expectations, both in variety and quality. It's clear that the mixologists at this venue are true artists in their craft. The cocktails were among the best we've encountered, and though we didn't handle the bill ourselves, the prices seemed reasonable for the exceptional quality. On the downside, the cocktails were quite strong in terms of alcohol content. While some might appreciate this, our group felt that it detracted from the overall experience. We were there to enjoy a good time without necessarily getting drunk, and the strong cocktails didn't align with that aim. It would have been better to have cocktails with less alcohol, but perhaps more volume. All in all, The Alchemist on New York Street in Manchester is a great choice for those looking for a unique and memorable cocktail experience. We do hope they consider adjusting the strength of their cocktails to accommodate a wider range of preferences.

So me and My Fiancee were in Town(Manchester) for my Partners graduation ceremony at Manchester Metropolitan University upon leaving the graduation we jumped in an Uber as it was raining heavily so headed to Alchemist on New York Street. It was our First time at Alchemist but we have always known about the fantastic reviews and food at drink at Alchemist. So we headed in and the Alchemist was absolutely jam packed in both the bar 🍸 and the restaurant but we found a table and my Fiancee ordered a glass of Prosecco and I ordered a Pint of Asahi(Japanese Larger). Service was great, Polite and friendly staff, Very modern interior, Bar and restaurant areas were spotlessly clean, The drinks were crisp, cold and went down a treat. We then ordered 4 Oysters(The Cocktails not the Food), They were served on a tray full of crushed ice in Metal shaped oysters with Passion fruit beads. It was our first time trying the 4 oysters but wow they were really nice, We than drank up and left the bar. 5☆ Fantastic Service, Spotlessly clean, Great selection of food and drinks including spirits, Mocktails, Cocktails, Beers, Wines etc

We were warmly greeted by security who asked if we had a booking and then pointed us in the direction of the host. He then sat us down and we were quickly introduced to our waitress. She asked if we'd been before and did we have any allergies to which I informed her I did. She guided me to scan a QR code on my phone which brought up the menu and told me exactly what food had nuts and peanuts in. This totally blew me and my partner away. The choices were plentiful and the drinks menu was mind blowing. Our waitress was finishing her shift but kindly introduced to our new waiter who was just as friendly. We ordered 3 starters which the mac 'n' cheese bites I highly recommend and a main dish each. The food came out at just the right time each time and staff who served were just as lovely as the next. For my first time at this establishment, I would 10/10 recommend and be coming back with friends and family. We weren't made to feel like we had to leave straight away and the atmosphere was really nice.

Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price For Food/Drinks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall the price of the food/drinks at The Alchemist are fair. Obviously drinks are a little more expensive but you’re paying for an experience you can’t get anywhere else. The food was very well priced given the portion size! Speed of Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On this particular day the speed of service was fine. The main Front of House was great and the ladies there were really respectful, very well mannered and polite. The service of food and drinks was very quick! Food Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall quality of my food was extremely good and high quality. Our group tried a huge variety of drinks and food throughout our visit. Everything was amazing quality and even the ones that weren’t preferred were made very well! Restaraunt Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The overall cleanliness of The Alchemist was really high. High levels of cleanliness and regular cleaning. AOB- I have no other business to add.

Came here on Saturday evening with my wife and two friends who we haven’t seen in months thanks to covid. We booked a food and drinks table and were well waited on by Nat during our time there! The food was gorgeous and the drinks even more so! Nat even helped to get me a ‘Solero’ my favourite cocktail that they’ve unfortunately recently scrapped from the menu. The wait and bar staff are all very eager to make you any drink you’d fancy as they are all trained in classic cocktail making, so even if there isn’t your favourite on the menu don’t be afraid to ask for it and I’m sure they’ll be able to make it for you! This has and will always remain my favourite cocktail bar. Can’t wait to see you all again soon!

Friendly service. Although the food came cold and we waited a long time between starters and the main course! My BBQ chicken was not sizzling as advertised in the menu! But I was too hungry to give a damn by this point! Cocktails helped to pacify our hunger for a bit, with their fantastic, visual delights, of dried ice. Although the cocktails didn't taste as good as they looked or described in the menu (once again) which again was a massive shame! Total unexpected pity! The restaurant wasn't busy either so no excuses for the food dalay. And on a Monday evening! So, fair to say, no I will not be returning to The Alchemist anytime soon!
