A very pleasant pub to visit clean and tidy well presented. The staff was very friendly and helpful and allowed time to make choices without making you feeling rushed. If there was one small criticism it would possibly be we need to find a table and get the table number before ordering food which can be very difficult when it is busy and you are on your own because having decided on the table gone to the bar and giving your table number and place your order and waited for your drinks to be served by the time you go back to the table somebody else has already secured that table for themselves and the only item I had with me with my handbag which I wasn't going to leave out in the garden on a table for obvious reasons I needed it to make my payment. the chips were proper chunky and tasty and I was pleasantly surprised that they were hot even when delivered to me sat out in the garden. The area had a lot of outdoor space and a great selection of items suitable for the children to play on and the rear garden was surrounded by a picket fence and gate adding security or though was a shame that some patrons couldn't close the gate behind them so maybe it might be worth having it on a slight spring so that it does at least close even if it's not latched. Overall a great place to sit outside in the sunshine enjoy the lovely weather drink a cold cider have some freshly made hot chips and watch the planes coming into land

The menu promises they are big on flavour but we experienced the exact opposite. I understand it was very busy and I feel sorry for the staff as most were clearly very young but the quality of the food was honestly abysmal. It was mostly over cooked bland microwaved food. The soggy veggies on everyone's plates looked like they'd been soaking and lost any goodness they once had. The chicken looked like it was made from playdough, unseasoned and overcooked. The mashed potatoes were almost solid, you could have used them as modelling clay. They didn't even try to disguise that it had been plopped out of a microwaved dish. The pizza had obviously been microwaved too long as the dough was pale and solid. The green beans were rubbery and tasteless and the gravy was incredibly thick and salty. We also had an "Ultimate Big Combo" sharing platter as a starter which was pathetic. Nothing was Ultimate or Big about it. The menu said it included 2 garlic ciabatta slices. They came as a quarter of a halved ciabatta, cut into 2 pieces. Almost hilariously small. Soggy battered mushrooms, a couple of stale fried pieces of tortilla, 2 (of the smallest you could possibly get!) slithers of chicken breast strips with scraps of iceberg lettuce. Literally scraps, not even a piece of green leaf. I don't know how anyone could serve it without feeling ashamed. Also the menus were in desperate need of a wipe down. Pros were the children's playground and fast service. But I'm guessing it's only fast as we were just waiting for the microwave to ping.

Manager needs sacking! No customer service, no management of staff. 5 meals came out in 9 minutes from ordering which left us surprised but Issues from the start including meals not coming as ordered, food being unsatisfactory. Asked for a side salad (pic included) with my my burger due to no bun, was appalling and was treated disgustingly in which staff openinly shouted negatively about our requests for correct food. Staff would have been aware of dissatisfaction of the food still not being correctly made if they'd checked on us as most restaurants doespecailly after a mistake. 5 members of staff and the manager walked passed when we had finished Waiting for our desserts which came out in super quick time. Manager needs to think about how he's speaking to customers and what he says within ear shot about them to staff. Pre pandemic this was an amazing place. Shame won't be back plenty more restaurants near airport.

Very disappointing service , I have ordered a meal for me and my family spending Β£42.60 in drinks and food and when the food arrived I was really surprised as one of the Steak sizzler that I have ordered was so small that you barely could see it in the plate , really a huge difference from my husband . I have called the manager to complain and the answer was this is what we get at the moment and when I asked why his has the normal size the explanation was because we took the fat from yours . This is really something that should be happening, being hospitality trying to build up again . The service is getting worst since they reopened after COVID , standards should be reviewed and managers should be more helpful in this situations , probably offering a different option not only bringing the plate refund . Very disappointed with the service and the quality. Donβt recommend

I arrived late evening but greeted pleasantly by the bar maid who said I was ok for 10 minutes to order food. Opted for a mixed grill, very good, quickly served by another polite lady. The only criticism I have is if you don't serve half pints of Coke, please reduce your bottles of Coke, Β£3.05 is a bit much, sometimes a pint of Coke is too gassy and only bloate's me up before a meal so I had to pay a ridiculous price for half a pint.
