Honestly THE WORST 'Caribbean' takeaway I've ever eaten. Whatever they're trying to pass off as Caribbean food, it is NOT.

Firstly, this is the second time I've ordered from this restaurant (the first being 3/4 years ago when they first opened). The first time I ordered, the food was good, and authentic; however, the wait to receive my order was almost 2 hours! - I live a 5 minute drive away (read the other reviews, this type of lengthy wait is quite common). This was enough to put us off for 4 years, but we thought we'd give them another try. A regrettable decision.

It seems what was a Caribbean takeaway, is now under new management/ownership and is now just a fast-food takeaway (the cook isn't even West Indian for goodness sake, and it shows in the food) - a simple look at the menu will tell you that this is no longer a West Indian restaurant.

I ordered ackee and saltfish, with a side of plantain. What I received was awful. Just awful. Instantly, I knew something wasn't right, just by the look of it. What I received was just onions (LOTS of onions) in an unacceptably small amount of ackee - no saltfish at all! Not authentic in the slightest. Not to mention, the plantain was just 5 miserable pieces. This after an hour wait!

I called the restaurant immediately to complain, where I received further poor service - I actually heard them talking about me on the phone. After much back and forth, I agreed a partial refund which I waited a further 1.5 hours to be delivered by the 'chef' himself.

As someone of West Indian heritage it annoys and disappoints me that this garbage food is being passed off as Caribbean food. Please do yourself a favour and buy elsewhere, somewhere authentic, somewhere that ACTUALLY serves Caribbean food... ...and in a...

Ive ordered from here a few times now and always get there fried chicken with a meal which has such a good flavour, better than kfc in my opinion 👌😋💯 So last night I ordered fried chicken, rice n peas, curry sauce, all sides and dumplings. They rang me straight away to tell me they'd ran out of fried chicken so offered me jerk. I don't really like jerk but got it anyway. My son ate it. I didn't like the jerk sauce very much. But everyone's taste are different. Anyway I rang first tonight before ordering fried chicken. The lad on the phone was lovely same as the girl last night, customer service 👌 💯⭐️. I recieved the fried chicken dumplin slaw and wings. All came piping hot and fresh but they forgot my soup. I rang them, they were back so quickly considering it's saturday evening aswel. They also brought me another dumpling and 2 free drinks. If anyone's thinking of ordering from here I recommend the oxtail💯, fried fish is 10/10👌, fried chicken, wings and lamb chops, I'm going to try the peppered steak or stewed steak next. Salt, salt and more salt. Shocking food. Never again. Used to be lovely when it was button lane. Me mouth is still stinging from all the salt. The worst food I’ve had for a very very long time. Dry and salty peppered steak. No veg or green in it

I’m now replying to your comment. I ate 4 mouth fulls, before I was overwhelmed by the amount of salt. The jerk chicken which my missis tried her very best to eat, she was also in great discomfort by the overpowering amount of salt. Why don’t you please take advice from your unhappy customers who you vastly over charge for your mediocre food. If you do this? You may have better reviews. You sound like a very arrogant amateur chef, if you dare call yourself this.

After reading your response, I’m fuming. I drove 3 mile to bring your disgusted salted slop back. I purposely stated to your lovely assistant that I did not want a refund and to please tell the chef of my disgust.
