Lavender Cafe — Restaurant in Metropolitan Borough of Solihull

Me and my family have been using this decent cafe for years. The staff are always very pleasant and we have always enjoyed our visits. However, me and my wife visited on 22/7 and ordered a large and medium breakfast and 2 coffees and paid for £26:60, which in my opinion, is rather steep for a cafe breakfast. The coffees arrived at our table in 4 minutes, the toast after 25 minutes, which I ate immediately, and the 2 average quality breakfasts took 35 minutes, and all the fried eggs were rock solid. The cafe was all but empty so I can't understand the delay. The prices seems to increase everytime we visit and far outweighs the quality of the products, so we will not be returning. Used this excellent cafe for many years as a walker and a cyclist. Always good food and value. I like that there is loads of space inside and out. It is very handy for Berkeswell train station so forms a great base to start or finish a walk. There is also plenty of parking. The cafe is tucked away down a track off the road between Balsall Common and Berkeswell village, but there is a gated entrance just by the train station that cycles and walkers can...

I've been asked to leave a review of this cafe. I cannot do so because I didn't use it.

I was at Lavender Hall for a days fishing and only passed through the cafe to get to the tackle shop to buy my day ticket.

It looked clean and there were a few workmen in there who obviously were not fishing. I can't comment on the quality of the food...
