Table was dirty. Menus arrived AND We Pointed to the dirty table.

10 minutes late We were asked if we were ready to order. Waitress didn't notice the table was still dirty. We had to point to that.

Reaction: ah it's ok, I'll clean it. What do you want to drink?

8 minutes later cutlery and serviets arrived and about to be set on the dirty table.

We literally had to stopped the waitress from what she was doing. She insisted she would clean the table after she had laid it out with clean serviette and fresh fork and knife.

He insisted we wanted the table to be cleaned before it was laid out. She was actually surprised!

Two seconds later cloth and spray arrived. Table sprayed and then REAL CIRCUS WHERE MAGIC THINGS HAPPEN

The cloth which was used to wipe the table clean ended up in between her legs.

She soon realised she couldn't walk around the table so the cloth was removed from in-between her legs to be lodged under her armpit.

Picture this: Cloth held by armpit. Spray bottle in one hand. Two forks two knives two serviette in another.

HOW DO YOU NOW SET A TABLE UP! AH! Easy: Spray bottle must be held in between the legs, little steps to reach the two sides of the table...and voila! Cutlery on the table now hold the spray bottle and get cloth from under armpit.

We've never seen anything like this before.

FOOD: My companion had Pizza. Somehow the cheese managed to mild beneath the meat. Last time I checked the whole idea of Pizza is that delicious cheese melted over other the toppings. Not this time! It even smell like pizza.

I had some to taste and it wasn't that good.

I had a burger and it was delicious! I fully recommend.

DESERT Desert was served by the evening waitress. Very good service by a lovely University student.

We both had chocolate truffle torte

Slightly on the heavy side. One portion will feed four people. Very good earl grey.

ATMOSPHERE: Children, young and old people, plus some extremely well behaved Dogs. I absolutely loved the family atmosphere.

DECOR: Chick Complemented with the sort of chair you would sit all afternoon with a book and a cup of earl grey.

Would I return? No

Would my...

What has happened to Mortons.....Poor service and poor quality food. A party of four tonight went to celebrate our daughters 16th birthday, ended up sending 3 out of the four main courses back, one steak was like old shoe leather, one was under cooked to the point it was swimming in blood and the third, a fish dish was tasteless, we made a point of ordering plain house salads without anything on them, only to be served salads with a dressing, the waitress was too busy chatting and laughing with the chefs to notice we were trying to get here attention, after five minutes of waiting I had to go and get her, there was only one other table of four in the restaurant so it wasn't exactly busy, our daughter had to go and get here own condiments as we were not offered any and after having to complain about the quality of the food to the waitress the manager couldn't even be bothered to come and offer an apology. We have been frequenting Mortons for many years but the last couple of times we have been we have noticed a big change in the attentiveness of the staff and the quality of the food, a very disappointing night, needless to say we wont be going...

I cannot speak to the quality of the food, since we didn’t stay long enough to eat but felt it necessary to rate our experience based on our recent visit. We arrived for lunch as a party of 4, and were told the restaurant side was fully booked but we could take any seat on the cafe side. We headed towards a 4 top, but didn’t sit down when we saw how dirty the table was. Instead we headed towards a smaller table near the window and we’re shocked to find that not only was that table dirty, the chairs (and one in particular) was absolutely filthy! I brought this to the attention of the hostess who informed me she would send someone over the switch it out. A gentleman, possible the manager, looked at the chair and removed the cushion which revealed more stains, dirt and food. Not only did he not apologize, he didn’t even acknowledge us throughout this. The fact that the employees do not seem care about cleanliness OR service is simply shameful! It was at this point we decided Morton’s was not for us. We instead enjoyed a fabulous lunch with excellent service at a...

Came here the other weekend on the Friday night, Saturday and Sunday morning. Not many options in Dickens Heath, but Morton's is a nice little spot. Nice big outdoor seating area for when the weather is nice, a restaurant area inside and the bar. The Friday night had a good atmosphere, and the breakfasts on the morning was also good. Effectively created my own from the menu, but very tasty - and the sausages were particularly excellent. The service can be a little slow; was waiting half an hour one of our visits to get the waiting staff to clear the table and bring the bill. Other than that, very good.

Went here for lunch on a good recommendation, and was very disappointed. Ordered a Lebanese platter which was awful, the green dip which contained yoghurt tasted off, and the 2 other dips which were pink and purple had been blended so much they resembled melted ice-cream or a smoothie on a small side plate. The only plus side of the meal was the flat bread and normal hummus. Service was incredibly slow where we were not offered any plates or cutlery. Upon informing the waitress about the stale green dip, we were offered a replacement so requested the normal hummus dip.

Walked around to Morton's for a quick lunch. The was a good selection of drinks which were tasty if not a little expensive. Service at the bar was quick and friendly. Sat down to order food, there was a wide selection and the staff were more than happy to accommodate by changing a dish slightly to make it lactose free. The food itself was very tasty and good value for money l.
