Aldo's Kitchen and Bar — Restaurant in Mole Valley

Either the other reviews are deluded or maybe it was an absolute shocker of a morning. I went in when it was quiet. My order was taken of a coffee and a full English breakfast. A short while later a coffee and a pot of tea arrived. After I explained I had requested a cooked breakfast, it was re ordered. 40 minutes later a plate of food arrived. The toast wasn't toasted, the bacon looked very under done. And the eggs I requested scrambled turned up fried and swimming in olive oil and smothered with coriander. Whilst I was waiting the table next to me had a long wait for their food and the bigger table had finished theirs, however there was a mess up with their order aswell. 4 of us went for breakfast at Aldi’s a couple of weeks ago. The service was extremely slow with no updates/or feedback. This resulted in us being half an hour late for an appointment. Even the coffees took 20 minutes to arrive. When the food arrived 2 were inedible. Mine was a shockingly horrible avocado on soggy bread. The crushed avocado tasted like something out of a jar with the most overpowering taste of lime. My daughter tasted it too and said it was horrendous. I just had to order a slice of toast instead. None of the food was hot and other people were complaining about the same thing. Not sure I would ever risk a dinner there based on the breakfast experience which is a shame as...

Had a lovely evening out here. The food is delicious with some interesting and varied choices on the menu. The wines were excellent and the service was friendly and prompt.

We really loved the cerviche and tuna tartare to start and the saltado and surf & turf for mains. The desserts were also excellent with some great flavour combinations like the chocolate quenelle and the strawberries with caramelised milk (topped with chocolate mint from the chef's garden).
