The Old Clunker Café — Restaurant in Mole Valley

A lovely cafe our club has visited several times during Sunday rides. Excellent coffee, food and service and very pleasant outdoor seating area.

Special mention to Darren in the workshop, who repaired my front derailleur after it flipped out of alignment whilst descending Coldharbour Lane, leaving my chain stuck on the lower ring. Very lucky that the cafe was our designated lunch stop and we were close to it when it happened. Darren was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and had it fixed as good as new in no time. I was extremely grateful, as the ride home with no upper gear range would not have been fun.

I had the pleasure to deal with the team this Saturday 7th September after my rear hub kept trying to kill me, after having a lovely coffee and Victoria sponge I asked for some advice about what might be the cause and without hesitation they offered to bring it in and have a look, after striping the freehiub and removing the spacer and excessive grease I was back on myway and happy to say with a bike no longer trying to kill me all for the pricely sum of a coffee.

To me this is everything a LBS should be my first time visiting but certainly not my last thanks...

Recently stopped for a coffee and was served by a lovely young lady. However whilst using the facilities was witness to some quite unsavoury derogatory and homophobic comments about wearing pink. This was not said directly to me, but when I was in the toilet. Surprisingly the door wasn't sound proof... one of the gentlemen that was in the workshop decided to make comments about me behind my back. Very disappointing, will not...
