Pretty good if you fancy just a drink but the food was disappointing. The beef burger was awful, if you get it then ask without the pickle inside. It ruins the taste of the burger extremely potent vinegar flavour and mutes the taste of everything. Burger was over cooked and dry which was a shame as it was thick. The chicken burger was soggy and overcooked. Chewy and plain. The kids sausage and mash was probably the best, peas where undercooked and mash tasted like smash but lumpy. Didn’t have either the tuna or sticky toffee in which was the only thing that was wanted by myself. Ended up with the waffle for pudding, the waffle was ever so slightly warm, very stale and had a sourness to it. Got given vanilla ice cream instead of honeycomb, only reason I ordered it was for that. Was suppose to have a caramelised banana to which was just a fresh sliced banana. Unfortunately I never got told when ordering about buying the kids main and dessert that it was Ā£9 instead ordering separately I was charged more & never got given a receipt first time around. Overall a pretty terrible place to eat. I’d recommend going elsewhere, only good thing is the beer on tap. Would recommend for a drink but...

A very disappointing family meal out overall. The food was ok, general pub food. But no roast on a Sunday, just standard gastro menu of burgers and fish & chips. But my word, the service. Utterly shocking, rude, non-existent. We had a booking for a group of 13, booked in advance, but there was clearly a lack of staffing to handle us and a few other tables. We had NO table service, had to get our own menus off other tables & ask for additional cutlery. We asked about roasts and the South African waiter/bar man/ I don’t even know was so rude in his response of ā€˜its summer, no roasts in the summer’ - who knew!? This was shouted at us as he walked off… For such a large group booking and a large bill to help pay their wages for the day, the service completely ruined the experience. It is a luxury these days to eat out, there’s a cost of living crisis, I suggest the staff, namely the guy, need to improve on their customer service skills to ensure they have a job & keep the hospitality industry afloat… we will not...

We went for a spontaneous Christmas lunch with work colleagues-we rang ahead to book the table and to ask if we needed to pre-order food (as we knew it would be busy!) When we arrived, the server had no idea of the booking. We were showed to our table after some confusion and were told it would be an hours wait for food. It was busy, however not to the point where food should take an hour. We told them if it would be longer than this, we would need the food to takeaway. An hour goes by and no food. We asked how much longer it would be and were told another 20 minutes. Bearing in mind this was for sandwiches and chips-not main meals. We had to request to get the food to takeaway. Not once during all of this was there an apology. They were clearly understaffed, which is not fair on the servers. However, an update/apology about the wait would've been appreciated. It's a shame as the pub is lovely-traditional and cosy. The food itself was also very nice, however cold by the time we got back to the...

Fantastic traditional pub serving great British classics set right in the centre of Dorking. We sat outside as they had their pub quiz going on that evening but it was still really comfortable and they have heaters dotted around. Service was quick, staff were all lovely and welcoming. Food was fantastic, portion sizes were brilliant and great value for money. Would definitely recommend if visiting Dorking.

Very friendly and accommodating pub. Beer well kept. It is very old so quite dark inside with low ceilings, but cosy with lots of atmosphere. Main course menu good (although if you advertise greens that's not peas and dessert menu is a bit thin). Food is well prepared and burgers and pie fantastic.

Lovely pub, just gorgeous! Old style, small but very busy, good selection on the menu! Pies were amazing! Lovely deserts for kids only for £1!!!! No parking as it right in the middle of one way system in the centre of town, but parked near Lidl and the walk took us about 5 min.
