When we walked in, there was a sign that said please wait to be seated. There was nobody around. We saw one man on his phone and laptop. He never looked up to say hello or sorry or be with you in one minute. He just stayed on his phone and never looked up. We waited about 10 minutes with nobody greeting us. I walked around to look for other staff member since he obviously couldn't care less about customers. I found the chef in the kitchen and asked does anyone work here, he said yes, him, oh but he's on the phone, so we waited another 5 minutes and another couple walked in and they too were shocked that nobody was there to greet us. Once he got off the phone he finally seated us and he was pleasant. I think someone needs to teach him a thing or two about customer service. We just ordered a burger and I ordered mine without bread because I'm allergic to gluten. I must say the burgers were absolutely delicious! My compliments to the chef! We have had burgers from Netherlands, Brussels and now here in Queen's Head in the UK and it tasted amazing! The fries were great too, very fresh and crispy on the outside.

We held our son’s 1st birthday party at The Queens Head, we went there after we had been at Meadowbank soft play. They were very accommodating, they allowed us to go in early at 11am to set up the under-sea-themed decorations in the teepee tent in the garden. They stored our cake for us in the fridge and provided the small plates and napkins for the cake I made. The Fish and Chips, Jerk Chicken Burger and Beef burgers were all delicious, the Mussels were massive, the kids enjoyed their Pasta too. The teepee tent had matting on the floor and my son enjoyed crawling around on it and exploring. I payed a visit a couple of times to the pub in the run up to the party, as I wanted to ask questions, add a few extra guests and make sure everything was going to run smoothly on the day, the staff there was very helpful and reassuring. It’s an amazing place! Thank you for making our son’s birthday very special!

Manu, Archie and the team at the Queens Head always make our visit to the Queens Head absolutely perfect. From the warm smiles on arrival and the lovely conversation to the table, to the incredible decor (altered for each season!) It is absolutely perfect. The food is by far the best in any pub I have been to for a long time. I have tried many dishes and haven’t had anything I haven’t loved. Anything from the lovely starters and sharing dishes, to the steak, to the seafood risotto and not to forget the chicken burger! The chocolate mousse is also to die for. The service is second to none and Manu especially has gone above and beyond for me over the visits to ensure I have a lovely table (and the occasional glass of Prosecco!). If you are even considering going to this pub then just go and you will not regret it! If I could give 6 stars I would.

Although I have known of The Queen’s Head for a long time I had never visited it. I recently saw their Instagram (check it out it’s great) and was drawn in by their amazing looking food and their clear attention to detail. The alcohol menu was also a big sell!

I booked for dinner in their tipi on Tuesday just gone.

Firstly, the tipi is stunning, it is warm and the whole pub is very Covid compliant. There was hand sanitiser on every table and they were all appropriately spaced with good air flow in the tipi.

Secondly, the food was amazing! I had their buttermilk chicken burger and it was so well cooked, not dry at all and perfectly seasoned. I also had the beef carpaccio to start which was melt in the mouth amazing.

Thirdly, I realised once I had got home that I was missing the two rings I wear on my pinky. I immediately messaged them to ask them if they could have a look at the table I had been sat at. I thought it was a long shot but worth the try! Many was so helpful, he answered straight away despite it being gone 10pm and although he said it hadn’t been seen that evening he would check again the next day. The following afternoon (around 5pm the next day) I received a message from Manu saying he had been looking for my rings all day and had found them. I cannot explain how blown away I am by the effort put in to find my rings. It was my own stupid fault I lost them I am sure but I am forever grateful to the staff at The Queen’s Head, not only for the great evening we spent there, but also for finding my rings which have great sentimental value.

Thank you to all the staff but particularly Manu! I will be back for more delicious...

Went to the Queen's head Saturday evening for dinner for two only to be greeted by a very curt and dismissive waiter who told us there were no tables. As we started to leave he told us "wait!" And then found us a table with an attitude that suggested we were quite the inconvenience for him.

Ordered the short rib for myself and the fish and chips for my friend and were told "no short rib, choose something else" so I settled on a burger.

My friend's meal was brought out first, however they brought out the wrong dish, it was some other fish dish so we sent it back. Yet they still brought out my burger so I had to eat it in front of him, or eat it cold when his fish and chips finally arrived, meaning we essentially ate our meals separately.

When we asked for the bill, the rude waiter just slapped the check down on the table, along with a card machine that hadn't actually been set up to take our payment. On top of this, they had charged us for the more expensive fish dish that had been brought out in error, instead of the fish and chips.

Rather than wait for the waiter, I went to the bar and asked firstly for the correct bill and secondly to remove the service charge from the bill as there had been no service. The chap at the bar couldn’t have been more accommodating and even kindly comped our drinks by way of an apology.

This aside, I wouldn't recommend the Queen's Head to anyone on account of the rude, uncaring and incompetent service. We really enjoy Fuller's Pubs usually and this was our first visit to this particular establishment and will most definitely...

Every time I have visited the food and service has been excellent. The food is on par with Dorking's prices (not cheap!) but is roads ahead in quality. Great menu with something for everyone, and some good priced deals on weeknights. Drinks have also always been excellent quality as well.

Management - you may be wondering why I have only given 4 stars despite the excellent experiences I have always had here. The answer is that your staff aren't treated fairly, and the public should know that their 12.5% service charge that is put on every food bill is not fairly distributed to staff. I have gently asked staff every time I have paid "do you get a share of the service charge?" and I always get a half-smile and a response along the lines of "sort of". The staff obviously could say a lot more but are protecting management/their jobs by not complaining. But this needs to change. There is only so long you can keep this business successful if your staff aren't treated fairly - they can and will leave. Make sure ALL of that 12.5% goes to the bar, waiting and kitchen staff and then I will be back, however for now, a loyal customer...
