Bake — Restaurant in New Forest

Service has really gone down hill. Visited this cafe before the extension and it was quaint and excellent when it came to presentation and service. Ordered a sandwich and coffee with hot soya milk. Sandwich came out on its own no garnishing and looked worse than my 16 year old would prepare in a hurry. Milk was microwaved and not steamed and curdled running the coffee.

Got my money back for both and went down road to Bradbeers Cafe. What a difference.

We discovered and have subsequently been to BAKE three times in the last two weeks. From the get-go, we liked the place. The staff are always polite, professional and very friendly. Moreover, it is a very clean and well-furnished establishment - and we absolutely love the coffee (we are addicted to their flat whites). BAKE is also dog-friendly. Popped in this morning for the first time, mid-way on my bike ride. The lady that served me was new on the till but was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. A lovely coffee and cake (coffee and walnut) was had sat outside. As an unexpected bonus the owner came out to me and produced the last piece of cake in a takeaway carton saying it was too small to sell so would I like to take it with me!
