They were late opening when I visited and they said they would be open in about 10 minutes. I decided since I had read good things about their coffee that I would have a short walk around and come back.
I returned 15 mins later and they were still not open. The member of staff told me that the coffee machine was not even on yet. I asked how long and they said another five minutes at least.
I decided okay that's a little frustrating but I can happily wait. So I asked if I might be able to just take a seat whilst I do and was refused.
I'd already waited 15 minutes and didn't fancy spending another five or more standing In the street next to busy traffic. I would also describe the member of staffs demeanour as brusque which was not appreciated either. I made my mind up there and then that I would rather spend my money at a business that actually wants it and I left.
I can completely understand circumstances beyond their control might cause them to open late but at least be sympathetic and polite to customers who have turned up during your posted opening hours. As it was it felt like I was to blame for daring to darken their door in the...

Without any word of a lie, our visits to this cafe completely made our trip. The owner, Robyn, really knows her coffee and roasts a wicked brew.
